My colleague Dr. Csanady and I, have published a new research. It is about cranial and mandibular shape variation in the bank vole (Clethrionomys glareolus) and how it relates to proxies on the bite force. Send me a message and Ill send you the paper! www.researchgate.net/publication/...

A terrestrially adapted beaver with agile limbs, no flattened tail and no webbed feet. Although spending much of the time on the ground, I believe it would be also seen around water bodies, perhaps also chilling (like on this recon), with that typical rodent-like chunky lying appearance.

Locomotory adaptations in entoptychine gophers (Rodentia: Geomyidae) and the mosaic evolution of fossoriality
Skeletal morphology supports terrestrial to fossorial locomotory modes in extinct gophers. Their lack of ecomorphological overlap with contemporaneous taxa suggests resource partitioning as a driver ...

Althought superficially resembling the living lutrines, this genus had very different body proportions, the most prominent being the massive head (a trait present across the rest of Hyainailouridae). Here reconstructed at the edge of a river bank with couple of mud shrimps.
