I've bought and played No Man's Sky for 92 hours, while on launch I'd have refunded it if I bought it. I respect that they stuck with the game and their people though I don't like the direction that they are expanding the game in (directed experiences). Fallout 76 got a worse version of that.

This capitalist approach to games development prevents fast and efficient teams to form and results in worse games overall. Just look at the live service games that are thriving and pushing out great quality content regularly for a counter example: Grinding Gear Games and Digital Extremes.

I'll humor you. Directors are paid immensely more than the average game developer and they receive a lot of fame that gets them hired again. Game development studios however will move on to a new project and hire new developers for cheaper or the same developers without giving them the raise.

ICYMI there is a browser plugin called Shinigami Eyes that mark transphobe profiles and links red in your browser, and trans friendly people are marked green. It is user curated, so it isn't 100% reliable, but I still find it useful. Just don't trust it blindly. It has been used maliciously before

Engagement-slop. But sure, I'll bite. I'll call games co-op/multiplayer if they meet a certain level of production value and length. For example: PEAK is a good game and a lot of care has gone into the style and mechanics, but the random generated "mountains" pull it down to slop.
