Miss Stella Roo would appreciate it if the big booms could just not. Luckily she’s got a blanket fort with pillows and her human. #DogsOfBluesky

I received a late arriving gift today from my partner. I asked for some cute embroidery scissors…😂
Ornate Renaissance-style scissors designed to resemble a dagger, featuring intricate metallic detailing and decorative red accents on the handle. The scissors are displayed in an open box alongside their sheath, with the product packaging labeled ‘Renaissance Scissors Dagger’ by Ace Martial Arts Supply visible in the background.

Snagged my free copy of the pattern, Winter’s Finest by Rosemary {Romi} Hill. It’s been a nice, easy knit project through the holiday hosting season. Almost to the lace section. 🧶 #Knitting #ShawlKnitting #LaceKnitting

Mask haul just arrived. This company is shutting down/selling to a bigger one. Took a month to get my order but 100 masks for $43 was worth the wait. I think they are still advertising 80% off. They had so many cute patterns and colors.
An assortment of black resealable packages labeled ‘MASKC’ containing KN95 and KF94 adult-size masks, with a gray face mask featuring a classic winter knit pattern printed on its surface displayed in the foreground. Each package indicates a count of 10 masks.

It’s never too late to start masking again. Bird Flu, Covid, RSV, and everything else circulating can be prevented. Clean the air and mask in shared spaces. Proper PPE exists for a reason. 👇

I’ve been at this for weeks now & right on schedule. I’m trying to just go with it and not stress about it to compound the anxiety. I got myself a good sleep mask (manta has been my fave) so I can sleep in a bit and not be back up when the sun comes up. If sleeping in is an option, highly recommend.

Sock Head Cowl and some basic socks all finished and ready for gifting. The cowl colorway is from the Raven series from Blue Moon Fiber Arts and the socks, if I remember right, is from the Dr. Who color collection. It’s been a while since at the dye table. 🧶 #ShowMeYourKnits #Knitting

If you don’t mind a tip on keeping place in the pattern, I always print out big project instructions and use post it notes to underline the row I’m on in addition to a cheap row counter. Post it notes are great cause I can jot down notes/reminders as I go.

Hahaha I’m frequent passenger on the “should have inserted a lifeline” boat. I’m taking a break from the mitts and will frog later. I’m working on a cable cardigan now and am ABSOLUTELY using lifelines. The mitts were a good reminder. 😂 I wish you all the luck with the twisted moss fix!

Unfortunately I’m not a good candidate for contacts. Thanks for sharing what works for you. I’ll likely need to order a pair that is the most needed lens or not wear them at all when masking. Ditching the mask is not an option. I’m fortunate that I don’t have to people much for the time being.

Sometimes I knock out projects in one go but these were one a day. Knitting makes my brain and hands happy. It’s calming. But sometimes I get lost in the repetition and forget that I need to change course…and that’s how I end up with two mitts for my right hand. lol
