The Lake Van monster is the most famous #cryptid in Turkey. Similar to the Loch Ness Monster it rather confusingly has tentacles but like to remind campers to put out their fires.

A tentacle rose from the lake to shake a camper upside down because he hasn’t put out his camp fire. His friends look on in disbelief. How could he forget?

The Dobhar Chu is an Irish otter creature with dog or fish qualities, depending on who you talk to. They love following thier prey and attacking in packs, and possibly crochet. Well, how do you know they don't? Have you asked? Last seen in 2003, they are feared extinct or lazy

Sky serpents: different from dragons but seen most often in Chiba, sky serpents have been known to dance and shoot lightning or fire. #cryptids

A blurred wisp that is of course a sky serpent and not a floater or strange cloud hovers above a Chinese city at sunset.

The Mongolian death worm is as close as you’ll get to saying Beetlejuice three times to escape the sand worms. Living int he honk desert it usually lurks beneath the sand but locals have said to have spotted it above ground. It spits acid and feasts on anything silly enough to go nearby. #cryptids

A red meters long worn with spiky teeth. Looks fearsome. Probably good at snakes and ladders.

Does anyone know what wild animal in Southern Michigan would make a noise like a goose crossed with a donkey in the middle of the night? It was the most terrifying sound I've ever heard in the outdoors. Fairly certain my soul was almost eaten by a cryptid. 🌿
