The Lava Lamp Lions! Their manes don’t have quite the lava lamp look I wanted them to have, but I tried 🥲 • #digitalart #smallartist #furry #furryart #fursonaart #furrylion #lionfurry #lions #lionfursona #lavalamplions

Two lion furries themed after lava lamps. The one on the left is red and orange themed after a “lava” colored lava lamp, while the one on the right is a very bubbly pink maned lion with a purple face and light markings around the eyes and mouth. Themed after a pink and purple lava lamp. The background is multicolored spots.

I have promised three different drawings and now I don’t know what order to work on them in😵‍💫 Another nsfw plague doctor piece, lava lamp lions, and now a Yuri on ice piece which is already late for the ten year anniversary regardless 🥲 I’ve had that day written down in my calendar for over a year…

According to my calendar it was Yuri on ice's 10 year celebration yesterday! So it'll be late, but I'll make something for it, that show was such a big deal for me.🥺

I guess it's just a furry and not a fursona if it's not a sona. Idk I just like drawing furries like once every other month and that's basically it lmao I know nothing

My vibe switches up all the time too, I go from spooky to silly to romantic or nsfw, and I know my name is CRYPTID Maihem but I don't really draw cryptids... 😶 Aside from my plague doctor creatures. So I don't have a fun mascot or design ideas, not even a color scheme. I have no idea how I'd setup😭

Cryptid Maihem @cryptid-maihem.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

When/if I ever get to do a table setup for artist alley or a market (All to myself I mean, since I'll be sharing with the club again at Beaver State comic con in June👀) I'm legitimately worried about table design. I draw so many different things, I feel like I don't really have a "brand", y'know?

Cryptid Maihem @cryptid-maihem.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Tbh I'm not 100% sure on how exactly they pull it off since I was warned about it before I talked to them further, but supposedly they try to basically trick you into a commission (sometimes using ai to make a comic page) and hack your accts, get personal data and credit card info. 😬

110

Cryptid Maihem @cryptid-maihem.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Watch out! Several fic authors on ao3 including myself have gotten similar comments and try to get you to move to discord to scam you… 😓 they basically put the fics through ai to give a summary and mention points, maybe ask a question, then mention comics and discord.

Cryptid Maihem @cryptid-maihem.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Logically, I know that Plague doctors were real people in history. However whenever I draw them, they're almost...creatures. even if I draw them taking the mask off, like that's an immortal fantasy creature that lives in the forest.

Ref pic I took, with identifying markers scribbled out so I don’t dox myself. I ended up ignoring the reference a lot when I looked back, but I was too lazy to fix it. I also ended up not doing a specific section of shadows for the skeletal structure, so it’s still not quite what I saw.

Cryptid Maihem @cryptid-maihem.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

I know I say this almost every time but OH MY GOD THIS TOOK FOREVER. I made this because I walked past this one building and I thought I saw a girl on her phone with her skeleton showing where the shadow from this tree touched her. I did a double take and there was no one there. #digitalart #spooky
