This sort of bullshit makes me feel very dirty for having an IBPA membership. The discounts are nice (I don't have to worry about buying ISBNs for a while) and I don't mind at all that the vast majority of the material is geared to larger businesses.

IBPA acknowledges that there are many concerns with AI -- copyright and ethics; its impact on the environment; threats to human creativity, jobs, and so much more.

At the same time, AI tools are being used in the publishing industry, and IBPA wants to provide education for publishers in a holistic way so that they can figure all this out, and determine if and how they want to proceed with the technology.
