what is the actual purpose of using macos why would you want to use an OS with the cons of using linux without any of the benefits of using windows, like if you cant run windows apps/games anyways... just use a better OS??

can we please sell storage devices in binary units instead of decimal units, also can windows stop labelling binary units as decimal units this is why you order a 4TB drive and get confused at why its 3.6 "TB", its windows is labelling 3.6TiB as TB

bluesky is crazy, i'll see some incredible looking art with every single aspect I love, just absolutely stunning, and yet the post will have like 13 likes by an artist with 10 followers there just be hidden gems everywhere to every artist out there, there is always someone who adores your style

Please think before losing the plot It doesn't matter a company stopped selling physical copies of something, what matters is DRM I don't care spotify is a digital music platform- I care I don't own the music. I can't download it If I wanted physical copies of my music, I'd burn them onto CD's

One of my favorite parts of doing game dev, was seeing a player that was like, "anti-furry" or "anti-lgbtq" getting really angry about pride celebration for no reason meanwhile like the entire dev team is either furries and or queer/trans banning them after they double down is also really funny

hi if you use arch linux you should install my music player, Selene, that would be cool i think codeberg.org/CrypticCreat... There is so much I want to do with it, but here are some features: - smart metadata extraction - lastfm support - lrclib downloading - two-pass loudnorm - mpris support

Oh, so it turns out I did fix the track artists function, but not the album artists function. Every track in my library that has an album has been scrobbled with the album artist as @jubyphonic.bsky.social So uhh, thanks for making every single album I listen to? ...time to release a v0.7.1 patch

Oh shit its only been 6 months? Just recently reinstalled for hopefully the last time. Installed arch manually, haven't had issues since. Being in control of exact whats on my PC is nice I've been using Niri with noctalia-shell, It's been a great experience, I love tiling window managers

Ended up installing Arch over any OotB distro, installation was incredibly easy (Granted, I used 'archinstall', something you apparently shouldn't do?) But hey, the OS works and now I have the latest Plasma DE as well as everything else, overall, very good experience so far

I'm getting a new SSD soon, so with that, what other Linux distros should I try? I've been daily driving Kubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, and I'm currently looking at other distros with the Plasma DE (eg. Kubuntu 25.04, KDE Neon)
