changed my mind, doing some make-up hourlies today since I'm at my desk!

hourlies (make-up) 2026. 8AM: alarm goes off! (phone beeps with an alarm clock icon.) I'm tired and wanna go back to sleep. Drawing of me in bed. But I'm hungry! Drawing of me opening my eyes dramatically. 9AM: leftover muffins... drawing of me eating a muffin. I think they went a little bad... I stare nervously at the muffin as it gives off little cartoon stink lines. It's probably fine... I think. I sweat a bit as a little breeze comedically blows by

10AM: Gardening! I am excited and hold a pair of garden shears in one hand and a watering can in another. Tiny tomato harvest! A drawing of my hand holding a small basket of tomatoes. Adding paper to the compost bin! I empty out the shredder basket into the bin.

My balcony set up... Tomatoes! Bonus ginger my grandma accidentally planted (at the bottom of the tomato pot). A raised box planter with garlic, kale, accidental sunflowers, miner's lettuce, and nasturtium. An Aloe family featuring a grandma, mom, and 3 babies. Mexican oregano, purslane, wildflower mix, and miscellaneous cacti and succulents.

I'm based in LA! most of my poster work is more stylized towards comics but I do a lot of nature illustrations as well! lucyxue.com/washi-tapes ^-this link in particular has more of my wildlife-themed art, and you can click around the rest of my portfolio too!

a sticker page sheet depicting various waterbirds that can be found at the Los Angeles River. the overall color palette is a muted sage green with a vintage-inspired, lineless style.

It depicts a sea witch wearing a sailor-inspired outfit while holding a large conch in one hand and a driftwood wand in the other. Behind her is a harp seal with a bandana and a small sailor's hat. She is standing among some tide pools are a large wave crashes behind her, the shape of the foam resembling wings.

Decided to highlight a few of my favorite books and zines here! A few are either out of print or have yet to properly debut 👀 ko-fi.com/cryoflower/l...

Banana in Beijing - An autobiographical comic about growing up as a Chinese American, facing internalized racism, and the common dilemma of feeling simultaneously too Chinese and too American at the same time. ko-fi.com/cryoflower/shop, use code "TYBF25"

Offbrand. Part memoir, part art book, OFFBRAND is a collection of traditional sketches and accompanying commentary. Its aim is to document my emotional and artistic journey that span nearly
a decade, from late high school to post-college burnout.

Destroyed and Reborn. Using a sword forged of her own tears, a battered heroine must decide how to end her own suffering. This comic is an abstracted depiction of my experience living with Moral Scrupulosity OCD.

Weeds of Glendale Ave. A 16-page risograph zine about city weeds that helped me rekindle my childhood passion for wildlife and nature.

Random outfit pics from the past 6 months or so!

A selfie of me (an asian femme) wearing a black trenchcoat over a black sweater with a graphic of an atom with the moon as its nucleus. Under the sweater, I'm wearing a white buttom up and a cat choker. The outfit is paired with a long black lace skirt with a thin gold belt with a crescent moon and star. I'm also wearing black tights and a pair of black doc martens. As finishing accessories, i have a small black vinyl record purse and a bowler hat with cat ears.

A selfie of me (an east asian asian femme) posing while leaning on a chinese lion statue. I'm wearing a pink qipao with a red wool blazer over it and a matching red beret. I'm also wearing tights and red leather dancing heels. As finishing accessories, I'm wearing retro white sunglasses, a chunky red beaded bracelet, and holding a small red purse.

A selfie of me wearing a knitted houndstooth turtleneck tank top in black and dark sage green. For pants, i have on a pair of fitted white trousers that end above the ankles with a botanical leaf pattern. I'm also wearing white pumps and holding a large white leather purse.

A recent selfie of me standing in front of some small sunflowers. I'm wearing a short tank top dress with a small bug pattern on it, and it is draped with a short sleeved lace cover-up. I also have on a daisy choker and sheer daisy socks and am sporting a small lemon purse. For shoes, I'm wearing a pair of white and yellow flats.
