tell me i'm a bad, bad, bad, bad man

painting of nurse sylvia from my chemical romance's long live the black parade tour. she stands domineering, scowling down at gerard way on their knees. gerard looks up sheepishly, holding a dagger dripping blood in their right hand. a white and purple spotlight illuminates them against a dark background. the piece is predominantly in greens and purples, with pops of red.

pages 1-4 of my comic bald lite

panels of me, approaching the bathroom mirror, turning the lights on. i realize my hair looks wacky and overgrown, and say "oh no". thinking to myself, "when's the last time i cut my hair? has it been since last year? jesus. save me hat, save me!!!" i try to put a hat on to cover my wacky hair, but it still looks overgrown and bad. i grit my teeth while saying "fuuuuck".

caption: i've been feeling the call of the buzz cut for a while now. illustration of me walking, with a group of dandelions saying "shave it off"

caption: the signs keep coming from all directions. me looking at a bird tweeting on a utility pole wire (the tweeting translates to "buzzcut summerrrr")

caption: and yet, i hesitate... me looking off in the distance, disgruntled, leading into thought bubbles

thought bubble 1, text says "what does the top of my head even look like?", drawing of the top of my head that is pixelated and censored

thought bubble 2, "what if it looks bad and everyone points and laughs at me?" with a drawing of me getting pointed and laughed at with a tomato splattering on me. i'm saying "i know :( i'm sorry!"

thought bubble 3, "what will i stim with if not a strand of hair to tuck behind my ear? and so on..." drawing of me making the debby ryan radio rebel smirk to the reader

caption: but then, an epiphany! a rainbow appears over my head, as well as several thought bubbles. thought bubble: "ohhh wait, i already don't like the way i look and i don't really need to look good, it's not like i'm dating anyone or anything, and if it looks bad it'll just grow out...and i can make a comic about it?". panel of me thinking and blinking. panel of me texting my friend "if you're free tomorrow, i think it might finally be haircut time for me...this shit's too damn long lol". my friend responds "ooooooooohhh yas; shaving it? devil emoji". i say "ya i think it's buzzcut time for real"

panel of a person looking to the side, with caution signs above the top of their head. caption: "it's not like i've never had short hair. i've just always had the top as a safety net!"

panel 2, two men looking to the left, getting their hair buzzed. caption: "growing up, my dad and brother got their hair cut at the same barber my dad's gone to his whole life."

panel 3, a young me with long hair looking bored. caption: "i think i got my hair cut there once, but they gave me a little girl cut, so i'd just tag along for the lunch after."

panel 4, top down view of teenage me getting my hair bleached at a hair salon, saying owww ow ow. caption: "i got my hair cut down the street, overpriced because of the bleaching and dyeing. also it hurt everytime".

panel 5, long drawing of a paper doll chain representing me with different haircuts. one has a silhouette with longer hair, and is blacked out. caption: "this 'short on sides, longer on top' has been the modus operandi for like, 12 years now. except for that time in 2020 when i grew out my hair, we don't talk about that..."

bad pit etiquette 101

conversation between ry and cass. ry: "so, what's the deal with ouroboros?"; cass: "they have like, weird vibes. i think the vocalist only goes by 'your highness'?"; ry: "is that why jas doesn't like them?"; cass: "oh! no, no. they're just talentless hacks."; ry: "ohhh..."; cass: "i have no clue why frankie's playing with them. pity?". they are walking toward a music venue where jas is waiting for them. panel of jas up close where they say "look what the cat dragged in. i think they started early, let's get in there."

panel of all three among the crowd. cass is staring off page murmuring "hmm...what to order...". jas: "we're gonna get a drink, want anything?"; ry: "nah, i'm good!". series of three panels where we are behind ry, as she struggles to see over the crowd of taller people; she thinks "should've worn taller shoes...". panel of frankie drumming in a blur, with a ry thought bubble which says "woah...they ARE really good!". panel of ry looking happy, with someone crowd surfing toward her, while she thinks "i guess today hasn't been so bad after all..!"

two panels of ry getting kicked in the back of the head by a crowd surfer, and then subsequently getting caught by someone's fist as they are moshing. around the panels, there is messy text that says "LET'S OPEN THIS PIT UUUUUPPPP!!!", and dramatic "BONK!" and "WACK!" emanata. panel at the bottom where cass and jas see ry stumbling from a distance, where jas says "yo, what the fuck?!"

two drawings about normal sleep experiences 😍

black and white drawing of a figure in bed. their torso is mostly covered with a blanket, and their arms are on top of the blanket. the figure's face is scribbly and almost floating away.

black and white drawing of an empty bed with a white pillow. there is a dark shadow of a figure that is leaving an impression of a body in the bed. the texture of the drawing is scribbly and rough
