Spoke to my producer of my romcom. She told me she read 7 writers' scripts. And when she got to page 2 of mine, she knew. She said to herself, " She's so funny!" She could tell I love writing romcoms. I do! So excited for this project.

Just found out Mona Lisa didn't smile because she had lost 4 children. Her husband had her painted because she birthed another child. da Vinci said smile and she wouldn't because life had been painful. I wish I knew this when I saw the painting, I would have loved it so much more.

I always keep my laptop plugged in, as if its life depends on it. It's a brand-new computer. The battery is perfectly fine. I don't know what I'm afraid of. At this point, it's less a charging cord and more a tether to the wall that I think both the laptop and I need.

I offered to help someone who worked on my film who hasn't been able to find work. We set up a zoom. She never showed up. 20 minutes later she showed up and called and texted. By then I was already head down, back to work. If someone wants to help, don't take their generosity for granted. Bad move.
