Well… I’ve done it. I’m sitting at 5,999 comics read. Which means I need to decide what comic gets the honor of being #6,000. So I’m leaving it to you all: what should I read?! 👀 Give me something worthy of the milestone!

Flowers for Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre. Both were phenomenal throughout #Lanterns. As a longtime Green Lantern fan, there’s something special about watching an adaptation and thinking, “Yeah. THAT’S Hal Jordan. THAT’S John Stewart.” So much love for what they brought to these characters. 💚

And that’s a wrap on #Lanterns Season 1. “Dirt and Stars” was a fantastic finale, tying together so much of what this season has been building toward while leaving me incredibly excited for where these characters and the larger DCU go next. 4.5/5

After cancelling today's Legends D&D session, I thought I'd take this free Sunday to sit down and read a few comics. A few turned into over 100 issues of Daredevil, from Stan Lee to Jenny Isabella. Sheesh. Now I need to get ready for the Lanterns Finale.

Evil Dead Burn is another strong entry in a franchise that keeps finding new ways to reinvent itself without losing what makes it feel like Evil Dead. Cruel Deadites, nasty gore, dark humor, and a really strong lead. 4/5

Lanterns Episode 7, “The Jordan Boys,” takes one of the biggest swings of the season with Hal Jordan and it really worked for me. It’s not perfect, but the more I thought about what it adds to Hal and everything we’ve seen so far, the more I loved it. 4.5/5

Finished Jed MacKay’s first Moon Knight run and yeah… this absolutely lived up to the hype. 30 issues + 2 annuals, and it ended with an overall average of 4.64/5 for me. One of the strongest Moon Knight runs I’ve read.

Finished Marvel’s Wolverine and walked away really impressed. It’s not perfect, but I loved the story, performances, music, and especially how well it understands Logan as a character. A few non-spoiler thoughts below.

Apparently Sept. 24 is my 7-year Twitch Affiliate anniversary… which I completely forgot about. Since Thursday is D&D, we’re celebrating Wednesday the 23rd instead with LEGO Batman DLC, karaoke, some reminiscing, and general Saloon chaos. 🤠🍻 Come hang out!

#Lanterns Episode 6, “Bad Optics,” slows things down after last week’s explosive episode, and that change of pace works incredibly well. It gives the story room to breathe, fills in some important gaps, and leaves plenty of intriguing questions for the final two episodes. 4/5

After one stream, Marvel’s Wolverine has made a really strong first impression on me. Some of the things I saw people criticizing beforehand the scent trails, environmental paint, supposed handholding honestly haven’t bothered me at all in practice.

#Lanterns Episode 5, “Lights Out,” is phenomenal. This genuinely feels like a season finale despite only being Episode 5. It hits the ground running and never lets up fantastic action, major character moments, emotional weight, and some incredibly satisfying storytelling.

Something about the Wolverine review discourse has been grinding my gears. Reviews are useful. They can help give you a general idea of what critics think about a game. But they are NOT the end-all, be-all of whether a game is good or bad.
