I love Zdarsky Cap, but putting Bazaluda on the book is a mistake. Her art just doesn’t look right - especially her Cro-Magnon man heads - and it’s a step back from the fill-in artist the book had before. Marvel needs to start paying some better artists.

Adam Kubert covers on Wolverine and The Incredible Hulk in the ‘90s were so frustrating, because he didn’t always do the Interiors. I don’t mind the slowness, it’s worth it, but I like it better when someone else does the cover so I don’t get excited for Adam Kubert interiors, you know?

The thing you have to realize about Wolfman/Perez New Teen Titans is that Marv and George were both in love with Donna, and George also had amorous feelings for Starfire. (Also, NTT #38 is one of the greatest comics ever. I think I’m in love with Donna Troy again after reading it)

Okay wow, comics this week were especially good. The Green Lantern DC KO (Omega-Bam-Man!) was obviously the best thing, but Cap, Superman Unlimited, The Power Fantasy, Titans, and World’s Finest were also amazing. A good week for me.

I picked up some gorgeous ‘90 -‘92 issues of Uncanny and X-Factor today. The insides of the books looked fantastic - not too much ink bleed through, the colors still crisp, the paper still supple. It was almost like when I first saw them years ago on the spinner racks.

On my pull, I have Mortal Thor and Captain America. I’m going to be adding Iron Man because of Williamson and Infernal Hulk. Brevoort’s time as X-Men editor has been so bad it’s driving me to the other side of the Marvel Universe. I think that was his plan all along.
