Oh hey it’s prime day, the 200 quid disk I bought in Jan is still 450 quid and hasn’t come down a penny. Yay

The bond between man and dog is a sacred trust. They are the best of you. You are their world. Nothing matters more.

My view is that FA needs to die. It’s been morally bankrupt for a long time in how it’s run and it being a free volunteer staffed service does not absolve it of the harms and chilling effects it continues to perpetuate on the fandom. It had its run. The owner sadly died. There’s so many better sites

Do not let anyone tell you that a kink, a love you never chose is something to be ashamed of; that your attraction is equal to any action. And if they do? If injustice stabs anger into your heart? Use it as fuel for good. Reach out to a friend. Tell someone who needs to hear it that they're loved.

@furaffinity.net I've cancelled my FA+ subscription pending either your reinstatement of @darkviolet.bsky.social's account or an impressively convincing explanation.

Maybe more of a village thing, but how about the village or town pump. Often preserved. Rarely operational.

Each to their own I guess! It’s not what I enjoy out of Trek. Season 1 and 2 of SNW were gold

I should get you started on this. On the remastered version. It takes a bit but it's such fun once you're past the stupid beginning

E6: Disaster. Weird plot but the most fun 7/10 E7: Soap opera. Amusing but unrelatable 5/10 E8: bAdmiral. Tropey. 6/10 E9: Dragons. Absolute slop 3/10 E10? Like. Every episode has been a gimmick. I just want well written stories?

Strange New Worlds is such a disappointment this 4th season. I really wanted to like it. E1: Dinosaurs. Okay, but 6/10 E2: Horror and gore, no thanks 1/10 E3: Everyone goes on a massive bender. Uh... 3/10 E4: Film Noir. Yawn 2/10 E5: Muppets. Well executed but 6/10

Find someone who'll look at you the way this German Shepherd looks at his human

A black and tan German Shepherd with vivid amber eyes and an astonishingly piercing gaze of pure love looks at his human just to the right of the camera (from the upcoming movie Heart of the Beast with Brad Pitt!)

Finally saw Rain Man for the very first time. Obviously it’s great. But it’s truly something. A tour de force for Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. I probably should have watched it sooner!

11th September 2001 I watched live on the telly. Absolutely horrifying. Everything that’s come since has been the systematic erosion of all goodwill the USA gained, and the gradual destruction of its institutions of democracy. The great experiment is nearing its end. What a world we could have had.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I know you did so much for him and loved him so much. Horses live long lives so this hits extra hard. I know how it feels. Words are not enough.

I finally saw the new He-Man film. I didn't think it was very good, didn't strike a good balance between campness and taking itself too seriously. The writing and acting was all over the place. The 80s movie and the recent Kevin Smith animation was better. But Cringer in the new one? Sexy as fuck

Finally some uk govt action against Israel that isn’t just spineless claptrap. I expect the billionaire owned right wing media machine to now annihilate Burnham though. They won’t allow this to continue.

I’m surprised it hasn’t been already! I’m still working my way through all episodes from oldest to newest so havnt heard all the content yet. Actually I was gonna suggest sometime you assemble a list of Trek episodes covered because it’s a bit of a job now scanning RSS feeds to try and make sure!

I think about this a lot. I also think about how incredibly powerful technology could be for improving the human condition if just a few people controlling it at the top weren’t so evil and selfish. But we fall to our lowest common denominator. We weren’t ready.

I finally feel like Picard near the end of the episode ‘The Inner Light’ where he’s an old man on the doomed planet and he and everyone else knows the weather won’t ever be getting better now and it’s just a slow march to the end as the sun cooks us to a crisp. I miss the rain.
