Okay, my tibia + fibula are fixed with a screw + ligament. The surgery went well. Now I have to drink beer + coffee to stimulate my bladder. Unfortunately, it's non-alcoholic, but better than water. The staff here is world-class. Bedtime until tomorrow, hospital stay until Friday. Six weeks to go.

#FML!!🤬 You ride 1300km through mountains, no problem. Back home, going for a walk + fell accidentally… Surgery in 2 wks; until then, I have to wear this splint, followed by six weeks with my leg in a cast before they remove the screws. No idea when I'll be able to get back on my #Guzzi. #motosky

Thanks, in reality it definitely blows your mind and emotion when you are there. Sheer riding pleasure - the views, the smell, friendly people (10° C less would make it even better 😅). Could nit ride enough in the Alps. As a Canadian you know what I mean - wish I could ride there someday as well.😉

I am riding often France (living 3km from the 🇨🇭🇩🇪🇫🇷 border). Riding there is relaxed, I never had issues. There is a law that your helmet must have reflective stickers on it - but as much as I heard police do not check this actively (it’s more an insurance issue if sth happens). Speeding is expensive.

440km today again groggy… rode through Zugspitz-Region, Fernpass (boring), Flüelapass (way better, rd 2.400m), Davos, Landquart, Walensee, Zürich back home - 1st 2h were up to 25°, the rest up to 38° C - not fummy. Some traffic jams incl. Good: Explored some new sideroads…
