@assignedmedia.org really must correct the record on this. Queer people in the Bay Area know the truth. Wiener still has not spoken out about the terrible police violence during Pride & Trans March stands by those who escorted Scott out of the event. He wasn’t welcome for a host of reasons. Fix it!

I just don't believe at this point that Scott didn't know exactly how this was going to go down. He got out-voted by the combined totals of Chan and Saikat and knew he had to do something to shake up the race. This accomplished exactly that. His fundraising since the event shows that.

Fuck I didn't even see it go down and two people I currently date proudly told me later on that they had been a part of yelling at Scott. They knew exactly who he was. Dimitry was incidental. Arguing at this point that this was all Dimitry is damn near transphobic.

Dimitry isn't trans but he's connected to the community. I've never seen him be anything but supportive. He had no power within that gathering which is the whole issue here. Scott would've received the same reaction without Dimitry's involvement. Politicians often get chased out of Trans March.
