Uh, once you've won the Nobel Prize for Literature I'm not sure you get to call yourself a "new author" anymore dude. Sorry. I don't make the rules.

Your namesake (Cassie-Oh-Kay) is in this one a whole bunch! Gotta “warn” ya…there’s a lot more sex and violence in this one lol. I’m guessing you’ll be okay with that hahaha

#HorrorWritersChat I've been listening to brain.fm whenever I write for like... 10 years now haha. I bought a lifetime deal and it became part of my process. It's focus music (scientific, supposedly lol.) Dunno if it's just placebo, it but works for me. Unfortunately subscription only now :(

I forgot the cover! Here's my GIRL. Might as well say a little more :) This book is non-stop insanity from word one. But, it'll seem too OTT if you haven't read DADDY first, so I suggest you do that if you haven't already! DADDY: mybook.to/CrowleyBarns... GIRL: mybook.to/crowleygirl

The crazy fam of Daddy, Soyoung, Maddie, Lisa are back. It's Soyoung's 19th, so they get the best gift EVER: They kidnap her favorite influencer. But biker gangs, rednecks, and Soyoung's evil mom are gonna mess stuff up. This is Daddy 10x. NON-STOP blood, sex, + plot. GIRL: mybook.to/crowleygirl

DADDY: He’s not a helicopter parent. He’s an Apache Gunship parent. When he finally lets Soyoung go to her 1st sleepover, of course he's tracking her phone. BUT SHE'S NOT WHERE SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE. DADDY IS GOING TO GET HER BACK. DADDY: mybook.to/CrowleyBarns... LOTS of sex and violence.

Yeah. Some of us write it too haha. #splatterpunk #extremehorror No need to be appalled :) Most writers and readers in the genre are quite lovely!

010

Crowley Barns 🇮🇨📚🖤 @crowleybarns.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Nice. When I was growing up my school had tons of peacocks. They were very noisy and kinda disruptive... great if you wanted quills though!

Crowley Barns 🇮🇨📚🖤 @crowleybarns.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

HI! BTW have you ever considered changing your name from "Reed Alexander" to "Write Alexander"?? Make nominative determinism work for YOU!

110

Crowley Barns 🇮🇨📚🖤 @crowleybarns.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Surely "...a PART of the world..." :) We have other mighty topics of contention in other places, such as whether huge landowners should pay the same taxes as the plebs. But as an avid follower of US politics for more than 20 years, I gotta say, you guys are REALLY messed up now :( Dark times.

000

Crowley Barns 🇮🇨📚🖤 @crowleybarns.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Well the readers of category romance would disagree as would the Romance Writers of America and other professional orgs. Note I’m only talking about category romance. Not the general concept :) Kinda like how a sandwich has to have bread—if it doesn’t, it’s gonna make sandwich fans unhappy lol.

100

Crowley Barns 🇮🇨📚🖤 @crowleybarns.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Ah oh dear. The review connecting companies I know of don’t have many horror readers unfortunately. There’s a horror ARC/review group on Facebook that might be a better bet! I’ve not offered one there myself though so it’s not a strong recommendation. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience!

120

Crowley Barns 🇮🇨📚🖤 @crowleybarns.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Love stories absolutely end in all of those things :) But the actual book category “romance” has a happy ending as part of its very definition. It’s what the genre IS. If it doesn’t have that, then the book is one of any other number of genres—every genre can contain a love story :)

110

Crowley Barns 🇮🇨📚🖤 @crowleybarns.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Category romance has two rules and it sounds like you're set? Rule 1: It charts the course of a relationship. (That could be over a day or a millennium; doesn't matter.) Rule 2: It has a Happy Ever After or a Happy For Now ending. Sounds like your book meets both of those? :) What's the complaint??
