also if you care about calling yourself an ally to intersex ppl you should care about and advocate for ending infant intersex surgeries and all the other violations of consent and medical abuse intersex people regularly endure and u need to do that esp if u only mention intersex ppl in arguments

id say overall perisex ppl should not ASSUME things abt ppl bc they r intersex. like 1) even if this is obvious, not all intersex ppl r trans or gender non conforming or queer . there r plenty of cis intersex ppl 2) you are /not/ entitled to any information abt an intersex persons condition

I made a few infographics back in the day from the same frustration !!! the environment around it over the most recent yrs especially bc of JKR doing shit around it has been so bad i have been a lot quieter than i used to be but theres also such bad misinfo for it i feel intimidated by how much work

im painting w broad strokes bc intersex ppls experiences can vary so much (also wish this was something ppl cared to know)but a lot of the similarities we face r often being medicalized & objectified without our consent. im tired of nobody caring abt that and bringing us up just to argue w terfs lol

i have long had a lot of feelings abt this... i think some nonintersex folks can see intersex conditions as having medical validation & a path to access to gender affirming care which is not what being medicalized as a trans intersex person is, experientially
