The Florida black wolf is a peculiar subspecies of Red Wolf that lived in of the Southeastern United States, such as Florida. They were brought to extinction by habitat loss and culling of wolves. However, our facility has a pair, and we are hoping to reintroduce the species with their help.

A common sight in dinosaur parks, Ornithomimus is an interesting omnivorous theropod, and is one of the few plant-eating denizens of Manchester Paleozoic Zoo. Their flock consists of 3 males and 5 females, all of which can be seen solving puzzles at the facility's 10:30 and 15:30 daily shows!

The Cape Verde Giant Skink is a peculiar species. From Cape Verde, obviously, this lizard is a herbivore and enjoys foraging in the tall shrubs and small trees it sometimes climbs. They are just one of the species we're working to rewild back to it's natural range.

Welcome to the CPF's Main Page! For those new to this project, we aim to to educate all of you on species that may not get as much love from our peers. We also wish to see some of these recently extinct species reintroduced into their native ranges. Although you may see some permanent faces...
