OH GOD YES don't get me wrong, but to get the idea on paper sometimes its best to vibedraw. I do it in two phases, one where I get it on the canvas, then two where I go in and start to refine the details based off of a reference. Rolling referenceless entirely is madman behavior

Siana @crocsinsocks.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

I love going right into a sketch ref-less just to see how well I remember someone's character

I want to get smashed between a cosmic belly so big that there is no space between my atoms and that belly. Pure ultimate mathematical smoosh.

I honestly don't know what to do. I'm currently overdrawn $150 because a bill didn't process until this morning and I don't get my paycheck until Friday. I'm thinking about doing something insane today and opening up sketch comms for like $35-50 that I do in the next 8 hours before work.

the only thing that pisses me off about the Game of Thrones universe is that those are not dragons. those are clearly fucking wyverns. get it together hollywood.

One of my favorite things about doing YCHs is asking about expressions or any special requests that I can easily fulfill to make the piece more unique for my client x3 its the little things that can really bring a character to life

Sleep on it. If you draw a pic and it looks off but you can't figure out why, don't look at it for 24+ hours. When you come back to it, it'll be a lot more obvious what needs to be done. Alternately, if a sketch isn't working, drop it and sketch it again from scratch the next day. It'll be better

It's just something I've noticed in particular with younger furries, like under 23-22 (no offense lol I know a lot of great people in this community that are that age) but they'll make broad sweeping statements about how artists should draw. Idk. It upsets me lol -_-

060

Siana @crocsinsocks.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

I don't mean to vaguepost or anything but it kind of drives me insane to see posts about how artists draw stuff "wrong". There's no right way to be an artist and the most important part about drawing is creating something you want to make and enjoy the process.

I know people from the southwest United States like to say that 100+ degrees is fine if it's a dry heat and lemme tell ya, that is true because I am dying in the Pacific northwest at 86 degrees because of humidity and I would trade it for an AZ 110+ day without hesitation xD
