Looking at this now it's genuinely baffling how little new Pokemon are in the late game of Kalos. Almost every new Pokemon is at the beginning of the game and you don't encounter them or their evolutions anywhere else

Just like Gen 3 in order to complete the Pokédex in Gen 6 you have to beat the Hoenn Region 3 times completely in order to get all the starters, and then you have to beat the Kalos region 3 times for the Kanto Starters and Legendary Birds. Meaning you have to play 6 GAMES worth of content

Pokemon Stadium just LOVES to fuck with you and make your Pokemon instantly miss the attack that'd kill the last Pokemon on the enemies team that would have won you the fight. The literal LAST FIGHT of the Pika Cup ended exactly like this. It's BULLSHIT

I had to watch this fat cow stomp on my horny Gastly's face only for it to deal no damage before it ran out of PP, struggled to keep up, and killed him with struggle. I think this has been the worst Pokemon battle of my life.
