this is what comes of electing wealthy grifters. They are going to further rig the system for themselves and their socioeconomic peers. I swear, if I year ANYONE talk about how this asshat is the best person to run against Trump...

It is frequently the guys who've unconsciously internalized the assumptions of patriarchy, but are not doing the work to deprogram themselves from it, and instead are focused on "tokenizing" women to show their liberalism. What they seem to want is the gender equivalent of "separate but equal".

Pose this challenge to Gruber: Create a new X profile with visible indicators of minority and use it exclusively for a month. He won't, of course, bc he knows it is toxic for others, and simply doesn't want the smoke that rightly comes with hanging out at a Nazi bar. Rather blame the victims

Gruber is good at analyzing 1 thing. Apple. Everything else is mediocre at best. But like anyone else with a platform they own, and thus cannot be silenced, He feels like ALL of his opinions are diamonds, even when they are dog shit. AI watermarking, politics, X, Sports, etc. - all dumb takes.

I didn't realize that pointlessly trolling Bluesky users, or boosting a Musk business was necessary. What does this article add. You are gaslighting for what purpose? No one is mad, just disappointed that someone we follow for insightful analysis can't see past the end of his own privileged nose.

What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander. If cops don’t want to have automated surveillance of their movements by civilians, then they should understand 100% why we don’t want them to have the same power over us. Goes double for employees of these companies. apple.news/AmmiwTMA5SPm...

That this is even a thing - never mind that it has been met with such gratitude and approval - shows how badly AI companies (Apple in particular) have bungled the roll-out of AI & agents to consumers. Apple shouldn't have made this tool necessary. It should ALWAYS have been "opt-in"

I remember watching this with my older brother when I was ~12. He’d seen it before, and gave me a jump scare during one scene where the graboid popped out unexpectedly. I screamed like a little girl, fell off of the couch, and hated him for a month. Love this movie anyway.

My guess, is that he knows the financial disclosures they will need to make, will be so bad that it could pop the AI bubble before the IPO date ever arrives. And so he is trying to control the narrative while denying the IPO until such time (never) as the prospects improve.

If only we had regulatory agencies that were set up to police this kind of thing (raw milk is illegal at the federal level for a reason). To help consumer separate sciency-sounding marketing, from actual confirmed scientific consensus. Oh wait, we do, but too many people don't trust the experts.

Chiropractors are not medical doctors. You really shouldn't be going to them at all (get regular PT instead), since their entire field is based on a misunderstanding of anatomy. But if you do, you sure as SHIT shouldn't be taking advice from them on anything outside of musculoskeletal topics.

Raw milk = Russian Roulette You may be fine, but the longer you drink it, the higher your risk of serious - potentially fatal - food borne illness. If you wouldn't hand your child a loaded gun, you shouldn't provide them with raw milk. Sounds hyperbolic, I know, but it really isn't.

Certainly true of many industries, but Tech was different. Chronic under supply of skilled workers meant they had to be good to labor to keep it, and community investment was a good way to keep that labor happy. AI solves the labor issue, and Trump give them permission to go mask-off with the poors

anyone expecting MS to behave any differently is simply not paying attention closely enough. Tech companies played nice, when they had to. Their POTUS has made it clear, they don't have to anymore, and so they don't. These data centers are a blight on every community that allows them to go in.

As with most problems in this country, the answer is "bigotry". As long as you believe your group to be "better" than another group, you will be open to the idea that "those people" should not be allowed to have power, & democracy guarantees them power equivalent to yours.

when are governments going to start prosecuting these companies when they pull these stunts? Their "oh no. Our AI is so good that it hacked someone accidentally. What'cha gonna do 🤷?" is AN ADMISSION OF GUILT, and should be treated as such. If a person pulled this, they would be in jail.

Anyone suggesting Newsom form the Democratic ticket in 2028 is not just an idiot, but also a bratty sub. They want to be oppressed, they just want to look like they don't, for aesthetics. Newsom is fine with oligarchy and kakistocracy, as long has he is sitting atop it.

Twitter didn't invent the word "Tweet". They don't own it. I would prefer if everyone just used Tweet as their platform agnostic term for a short-form social media post. Whether to twitter/X, Bluesky, Mastadon, or whatever else may be out there.

Every politician who voted to confirm him to the FDA has blood on their hands, as does anyone who voted for one of these politicians. This is a form of violence that Americans need to learn to see. Wielding power to actively harm, is as bad as shooting indiscriminately into a crowd.

People often have an intrinsic bias that "cults" are things that happen to poor, dumb people. No matter how much evidence there is to the contrary. End-of-Days death cults are not new. They reinvent themselves for every generation. This group is taken so seriously b/c we treat wealth as a virtue

True, but AI coding subs didn't exist, because AI coding tools didn't exist yet. That's not really what "untapped market" means. It is less about a lack of a product to offer, and more about a lack of awareness that a product could be viable in an unconsidered market. But I'm splitting hairs
010
crmarvin.bsky.social @crmarvin.bsky.social · 15/09/2026
Not sure I follow. We had coding before, so "untapped" seems an odd word choice. As for the sustainability. Not without additional applications. AI investment topped $0.75T in 2025, and expected to top $1.5T this year. Entire market is < $1T. It is already underwater, and only getting worse.

Republicans are soft on crime. All the "tough on crime" rhetoric is a smoke screen. What they are, is tough on poor people and social minorities. They are 100% ok with crime (elected a criminal to POTUS after all), and care not 1 whit for the crimes he commits in the open, because HE is not poor

Rs have mastered the art of 'point things out, until you convince folks this is a problem' (eg trans sports). Dems have mastered the art of 'passively watching as Rome burns' (gestures). It is not enough to point it out. They need to put it in American's faces every day, until we contend with it.

I think you might be splitting hairs, because Pharma is not above trying to drum up demand by spending a lot of money on advertising, which often makes people believe they need, and thus take, medications that they don't need. You, personally, may not do that. But the industry is infamous for it.
