Two setups can both equal 10W and still not be interchangeable. ⚡ A device designed for 5V may not be happy with 10V, even if the maths gives the same power. Watts matter. But voltage and current have to match too. That’s the kind of detail electronics makes interesting.

A MOSFET is an electronic switch controlled by voltage. ⚡ Apply voltage to its gate and a path opens between source and drain. Remove it and the path closes. BJT → controlled by current. MOSFET → controlled by voltage. You'll get to experiment with both in Crispy Circuits. 🐹

resistor's job is to make electricity’s life more difficult ⚡ without them, current can rush through a circuit faster than the components were designed for. which sounds great until your lightbulb turns into a very brief lightbulb. sometimes engineering is just strategically slowing things down 💡

a lightbulb is one of those inventions that sounds complicated until you look inside 💡 it's mostly just a tungsten wire getting absurdly hot electricity flows through it ⚡ the wire resists the wire glows that's the trick also, most of the energy becomes heat, not light 👀
