Copies of the Necrologos are dangerous tomes to be left in the open. Voidsent summoned from its pages can pose a threat that requires adventurers to search and destroy the threat. (Screenshot provided by a friend!) #Gpose #FinalFantasyXIV

Byleth Eizner and his party engage in battle with Vodoriga that recently wiped out a camp of Corpse Brigade brigands. The copy of the Necrologos was recovered and handed to a third contact that will safely ward the tome away.

Since I've been taking a really long, unplanned hiatus from FF14 roleplaying scene and content grinding I've started to think about what has Byleth been up to. I've decided on something simple. Since he is a registered adventurer with the guild, he's been away for many jobs!

Levi as Byleth 👀ner @crest-bearer.bsky.social · 03/09/2025

So I have started to think about this lately, but I have come to realize that I unconsciously made a decision to take a break from FF14. I have played the game almost daily since I got it on PS4 back when SB was the current expansion. I really need to get back into the game again.

Byleth uses the vanilla title <Newfound Adventurer> I'm pretty sure. He has alternate title with plogon that simply says <Tested Adventurer>.

010

Levi as Byleth 👀ner @crest-bearer.bsky.social · 22/03/2025

Byleth does not easily get attached to people. He tries to gauge another person by their personality, habits, and other qualities to determine if he wants to be their acquaintance/friend. He will spend a lot of time observing.

Byleth expresses that he cares about someone by providing them some of his catches from fishing.

Byleth, a rip straight from the titular Fire Emblem title: He is the living vessel of an old Bozjan goddess. Crom: He has an axe that was made just for him, and it takes a great level of strength to even lift it up. Varen: His manifested Echo power lets him predict most incoming attacks.

I got really bored tonight, so I made an attempt at that book trend recently going around. I envisioned it in my head, like, "If Byleth heard about this trend going around in the local guild hall like the Quicksand, he innocently sees what the hype is." [TW:Body scars] #ffxiv #gpose

Levi as Byleth 👀ner @crest-bearer.bsky.social · 19/03/2025

Byleth primarily has scars on his torso and arms. His background and history as a mercenary and soldier with the Bozjan Resistance have let him have brushes with death a couple of times. The types of scars he has were inflicted by melee weapons like swords and spears. He brings no attention to them.

Most leves available from the Adventurers' Guild entail secure package deliveries, beast culling, and even hunting dangerous Spoken bounties. Byleth accepts these requests usually without asking too many questions. #FinalFantasyXIV #Gpose #fxiv

Byleth did not develop a dream of his own until after Bozja was liberated. Once it was over, Byleth had the sudden want to explore the world and wanted to become an adventurer to do so. He is now living that new dream of his to the fullest.

Levi as Byleth 👀ner @crest-bearer.bsky.social · 10/03/2025

While Byleth may be considered by some as socially awkward, he maintains a professional demeanor even when speaking to children. He treats children like they are miniature adults, speaking plainly and honestly with them, but he recognizes that they are not experienced as adults when it comes life.

020

Levi as Byleth 👀ner @crest-bearer.bsky.social · 07/03/2025

Byleth has a preference for being left alone, but that is only so that he may quietly observe people or that he may read on his own. He has some friends that he would gladly talk with it, and he is open to meeting new people.

010

Levi as Byleth 👀ner @crest-bearer.bsky.social · 07/03/2025

Byleth is currently twenty-seven years old. He does not actually know his own age. He and his father never really celebrated his nameday as he grew up. So it's always funny to me when people ask him how old he is, and he tells them, "I don't know. No, really."

I had a best friend that I met when I was in highschool. We were friends throughout it and even after school. We moved in together a couple of years later. He was like a brother to me, so when he passed away when we were 24, it really hit me hard. He also played FF after I got him into it. +

As a teenager, Byleth was simply going through the motions in his life. As a child raised in a mercenary group, traveling around southern Ilsabard and Othard, he literally was a child soldier. He was obedient to follow orders. He was given the alias, Ashen Demon, when he was a teen. Pretty telling.

000

Levi as Byleth 👀ner @crest-bearer.bsky.social · 05/02/2025

Byleth received practical knowledge from his father and the mercenary company that he grew up in. He learned to read and write. His primary studies were battlefield tactics, combat manuals, and fishing techniques and the best way to cook them.

000

Levi as Byleth 👀ner @crest-bearer.bsky.social · 05/02/2025

Byleth was raised solely by his father, Jeralt Eizner, in the Bold Brigade mercenary company. It could be argued that the rest of the company was Byleth's extended family, but the child never thought of them like that. Jeralt primarily taught Byleth combat, strategy, and necessary life skills.

Byleth is a fairly decent cook. He has a strong preference for fish dishes, but simple recipes are also doable. He's not a Bismark-class chef or a baker.

010

Levi as Byleth 👀ner @crest-bearer.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

Varen's role lines would be- PLD: "Don't worry, I got this." MNK: "I'll show them Rhalgr's Fists!" Crom's role line would be- WAR: "Leave it to me. I'll take the charge!" And Byleth will be a fill-role so his single line would be, "Byleth Eizner with adventurer's guild, at your service."

Byleth does not make friends easily. He does not avoid social interactions, but he is socially inept. He spends a lot more time observing people than speaking with them. He has, at least, three or four actual friends. He does earnestly try to get a long with people.

Byleth has come to terms with his mortality. He has received fatal injuries in battle before but has rebounded every time thanks to a healer. Byleth does not fear, he does not resent it, he simply knows that one day he will die too. By fighting or other ways.

For Varen I really don't remember how I came up with his name, but I got curious one day and just typed Varen into Google. What came up was something in European. Crom's name I just removed the h in Chrom from FE Awakening. Not the Cimmerian god in Conan the Barbarian. +

More explorable regions on the three brother continents (Aldenard, Ilsabard and Othard.) I really do wish we can get to see and get involved with the cultures that are across the star. Only getting a part of Thavnair and Garlemald was a let down for me.

Byleth's unsundered-self went by the name of Kratos. He was a follower of Nabriales the Contender. Kratos occupied himself with refining martial and magical techniques against creations to help determine how they would fare in the wild. He would get a kick out of the destruction and slaughter.
