CHAPTER SIXTEEN - THE TALE OF INTERTWINED HEARTS: PART ONE

“Illusions of Cruelty”

After claiming Astarios’ fortune, the travelers plan to use some of it to help the refugees who fled to Dawncrest from Elturkeep. Lenore and Ezra learn from a few of the refugees of a mansion at the edge of Dawncrest they had hoped would be able to shelter all of those left behind by the war. However, when they investigated, they found it haunted by terrifying specters and were chased back to their camp.

Determined to uncover the truth, Ezra and Lenore travel to the mansion. They are unsure as to if the building is truly haunted or if there is something else at play. As they venture through the manor, they feel as if they are being watched, and strange traps and stranger architecture wait around every turn. A secret lies at the heart of the manse, and Ezra and Lenore refuse to leave until they discover it.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN - THE TALE OF LENORE ARGYROS: PART TWO

"Brazen and Boastful"

With no memories of the last ten years, Lenore sets out on a journey to recover what she has lost. Her only clue as to the truth behind the strange, eerie happenings in Stonepass Valley is a single word: Moonlight. A wizard by the name of Astarios is searching for it, and so, Lenore goes to his current residence in Dawncrest to investigate. She hopes he will be the key to the lock placed on her mind to block out the past.

Astarios is not the man Lenore had hoped for though, quickly proving himself to be brutal and cruel. Lenore cannot stand the injustice of his mistreatment of others and decides to strike back at him. She prays she will be able to learn something about her missing past in the process, and the weight of the word “Moonlight” only grows heavier and heavier as the battle approaches…

Today, I have an important announcement regarding the planned physical release for "The Trail to Treasure."

Book Two Physical Copy Update

Ever since I first started work on this series, I knew exactly who I wanted the cover artist to be: a childhood friend of mine named Ashley. We grew up together hoping to one day be an artist and an author, and with the release of “The Journey for Joy,” that dream finally came true. I am looking forward to the same being true of “The Trail to Treasure,” but it will have to wait a little bit longer. Due to scheduling conflicts, the physical releases of volumes one and two of “The Trail to Treasure” will be coming later than anticipated during 2027 rather than
beginning later this year in 2026.

Book Two Physical Copy Update

Ashley has decided she needs more time to work on the cover of “The Trail to Treasure,” and rather than find a different cover artist, I have decided that her art is more than worth the wait. I will be giving her all the time she needs to finish the cover art, and when it is done, we will welcome “The Trail to Treasure” into the shop. I initially planned to release volume one’s physical edition later in 2026 and volume two in early 2027, but they will both be waiting until 2027 instead to give her more time to make something incredible for the launch.

Book Two Physical Copy Update

What does this mean now? The chaptered eBook releases will continue on as they have up to this point with monthly installments. Nothing has changed on that front. I initially planned to launch the larger volume style eBooks with the physical releases, but due to this delay in scheduling, I will be releasing the full volume eBooks sooner under a different cover. They will be updated with the final cover after it has been completed, likely around the time of the physical launches. The first volume’s eBook will be coming soon while the second
will go live during January of 2027.

Within the next few weeks, I will share updates about the volume one eBook launch, and I hope anyone waiting for the larger releases is looking forward to it! For those wanting to pick up a physical copy of “The Trail to Treasure” instead, I hope you will be willing to wait a little bit longer. The cover will be something incredible when it comes, and I have nothing but complete faith in Ashley’s skills. Good things come to those who wait, and I know this cover art will be more than worth our patience. Thank you for your understanding.

Evyn searches for a cure to the strange necrotic sickness that has befall their lover, Aether, and the journey takes them to the strangely named town of Evyn’s Point. According to Errapel, an apothecary who specializes in illnesses fueled by dark magic lives there. Evyn hopes for a simple trip where they can recruit the apothecary, travel back to their ship, and return to the way their life was before Aether began deteriorating.

However, Evyn’s past is chasing after them, and the town’s name is no coincidence. Instead, it is an indication of everything they did to honor their home after setting out on their voyages with Aether. As Evyn discomfort rises, they hope to leave Evyn’s Point as soon as possible, but someone refuses to let them go so easily. Forced to face someone they never thought they would see again, Evyn is left wondering if they were truly right to begin traveling with Aether…
