Germantown October Fest Returns Oct. 10 with Grammy-Nominated Nappy Roots, African Market Preview Germantown's biggest fall festival is back for 2026, and organizers say this year's event will be the largest yet. What's Happening Germantown October Fest returns to Germantown Town Center on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free outdoor festival features live music, food vendors, a children's carnival, artisan market, and community parade. This year's headliner is Nappy Roots, the two-time Grammy-nominated Southern rap group, performing on the main stage. Alex Tsironis of the MoCo Show will MC the event.

DMV artists are invited to propose durable, useful outdoor artwork for Sandy Spring Museum's expanding walking trails. Submissions are due September 18.
