🍂In these dark woods...🍂 A very lesbian, 18+ horror short comic I've been working on about a sick forest, the unassuming butch sent to study it and the monster they find there. It's still in early stages but I'm very excited to share more about it as I go! #ocs #lesbians

My OCs Aspen and Eve in a tense embrace(?). Aspen is an auburn-haired butch with long wavy hair and tanned skin speckled with freckles. She is grimacing in interest and worry at Eve as she is held fast in Eve's talon grip. Small amounts of blood are coming from Aspen's cheek where a claw has dug in a little too deep, and a nosebleed from previous trauma (Aspen gets nosebleeds easily). Eve is a humanoid beast with the face of an elegant, pale human but the horns, ears, long neck and furred body of a mix of animals. She is grinning as she grips Aspen's head, her wings encircling them as the leaves fall around them. Her fur is a blend of hazel browns to muted greens. She has sharp fangs and an overall threatening presence despite the intimacy.

The simplicity works! That's one of the side-plots of my series "Reapers". In fact if a spirit has too many unresolved regrets, too many attachments, desires, unfulfilled goals, resentments, etc... they'll turn into what I call corrupted spirits. Even the reapers themselves will have these.

If you have the room to make & store your own preserved food, I recommend nchfp.uga.edu. They have a lot of tried & true recipes for long-term food storage. Also, judging by the path society is currently going, I would recommend doing this sooner rather than later. And use glass jars for water.

I can count the amount of people I consider friend on one hand, with fingers left over. And I have a deeper connection with them than any family member. Everyone else is just an acquaintance.

The difference between then and now is I've distanced myself from the ones who call me "friend". I don't do them favors and I don't allow favors from them without compensation. Even if I accept a ride that's less than a mile, I always give them something in return.

I took a week off and paid for a rental to help a friend move cross-country to live with me and my current roommate just for him to move in a week later with another one of my "friends". Was I ever repaid for any of it? Of course not.

I've helped friends and family move dozens of times but I had to spend hundreds on moving companies because no one would help me whenever I needed to move. I even downsized to the point where everything could fit in my car just to save money.

This is the same thing that happened to me in my early twenties. I had a lot of people I called friends and I'd pay for drinks and food at bars and stuff, but when my decent paying job closed the office and the money dried up, my "friends" disappeared.

It's winter and a white tiger cub is sleeping inside an outdoor storage bench that's been outfitted with a small shelf to store his books and food. A couple squirrels are on top of the bench to show it's closed off.
