Please submit your small ideas for fixing Britain to the Small-Ideas.org website. It’s a new charitable initiative I’ve set up to try and make sure life’s potholes don’t get ignored. Working with two charities and a cross party panel to turn your ideas into policy then try and make it happen.

Genuinely: where is the Prime Minister? Critical infrastructure has been occupied by a fascist paramilitary, volunteers who save people's lives have been threatened and it seems to have gone unremarked upon.

My publisher (me) tells me I must relentlessly promote my books this week as it's #SPAAW or #SelfPublishedAuthorsAwarenessWeek so please buy my books. If you like Terry Pratchett-type comic fantasy, this is for you. 'Every page sizzles with fun.' Thanks #booksky #books mccawmedia.co.uk/landing-page/
A picture of the cover of Gingerbread Children with arrows pointing into it to show what you can expect in the book. Arrows are notated as follows: Rivalry, feisty witches, a riddle, body swapping, family secrets, kidnapping, an ancient curse, drunken cats, murder. Underneath the central picture are the words 'Baking to die for'. Around the edges of the image are review quotations as follows: Stands shoulder to shoulder with Terry Pratchett; Witty, thoughtful, hugely entertaining; Darkly comic - every page sizzles with fun; More twists and turns than a country mile.

The nice things about books: once you own them, you own them, forever. No one will be eye tracking your reading habits. No one will make money of you reading the book as many times as you'd like. And the very same book can be read by generations to come. It can last centuries, literally. It's great.

Sometimes, the most powerful statement is not a speech. It's a name. Then another name. And another. According to widely shared reports, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi participated in a memorial event where the names of children lost during the Gaza war were read aloud over the course of several hours.
