As true today as the day i posted it. From the river, to the sea.
A picture from October 7th, 2023 showing a group of Palestinians waving their flag atop a disabled israeli tank. I captioned it "From the river, to the sea."

Clean up your community.
A before-and-after of some Patriot Front bullshit sign, first image showing it freshly removed from the community with a crisp middle finger aimed at it, and the second image showing it crumpled up in a trash bin. There is text overlaid saying "put fascism in its place".

Forgot about a carrot in the fridge for a few months. Just made these flat fuck's Friday with it tho!
The sliced off crown of a forgotten carrot, lying on a wooden cutting board. The carrot has a multitude of pale sprouts growing from it, with bright green tufts of foliage at the tips. The aforementioned carrot top, placed on its side in an isopod enclosure, surrounded by various chunks of bark and soil. There is one very eager Dairy Cow isopod doing a biiiig stretch to get a nibble from the base of it.

"Yeah, i read Theory"
My current stack of reading materials: The Tallgrass Restoration Handbook: for prairies, savannahs, and woodlands (edited by Stephen Packard and Cornelia F. Mutel), The Ecology of Freedom: The emergence and dissolution of hierarchy (by Murray Bookchin), and the Halstad Community Club Cook Book (by a whole slew of Lutherans dontcha know). The books are in a stack on a fake wood table with a yellow highlighter resting beside them.

Sami has done the same, it is officially Arm Snuggle Season
My view looking down at my arm as I sit in a recliner. There is a black and white tuxedo cat draped fully across my arm, throat pressed against the crook of my elbow. I am wearing a red tablecloth plaid shirt and awful cargo short-shorts.

Hii! Have a flower!
A close-up shot of a clematis blossom. It has six petals, deep pink in color on the edges with a pale center hosting dark pink stripes leading to the center, which is composed of small light yellow anthers reaching out like snaky tendrils

"What, no love for the bees?" Guess I need a version for these fellers too.
A closeup of the butterfly sign detailed in the main post, with a small bee investigating it, giving the impression that they are miffed to not have a sign of their own.

Making a lil something for the honies (bugges)
A freshly made sign laying on a 3D printer. The sign is a square diamond shape, with a brown background and a vivid yellow perimeter. In the center of the sign is a yellow outline of a butterfly. The aforementioned sign, mounted on a camouflage painted post. The post sits in the sun with a green garden full of purple and yellow flowers behind it.

Found in a bulldozed and abandoned lot where a home once sat. Gonna go dig these up and rehome them at duskfall.
A cluster of red, frilly and thin blooms atop thick stems, some kind of bulb plant (maybe lily or amaryllis?). They stand in contrast to the surrounding overgrown grasses, which are a mix of green and brown due to the late summer's fucking awful heat and drought.

New Bookmark Day! Ever seen a bookmark made out of wasp nest paper? Saw a post from @cynipid.bsky.social about them and absolutely had to have one. Gorgeously solid crafting!
A rectangular bookmark, crafted out of reclaimed wasp nest paper, leaned against some books on a white shelf. The bookmark has gentle striations in a medley of earth tones and is accented by a black tassle.

Buckeye butterfly lounging on the marigolds today
A top-down view of a butterfly with wings spread flat. It has multiple "buckeye" patterns: pale outer rings with gradient shaded dark centers, and a border of repeating offset yellow and orange bands.

The star wars meme of an imperial officer asking Mads why he chose a reclusive life, edited to say

They grow up so fast! These three pictures were taken over the span of about a week. He's since trundled off the dill and hopefully found a nice place to hang a chrysalis
A very plump black swallowtail caterpillar, munching on a yellow dill flower, it's almost 2 inches long. The background is a patch of deep yellow and black rudbeckia flowersTwo images of the same swallowtail cat on the dill plant. In the first image he is very young, maybe a half inch long. In the second picture he's a little over an inch. The background is the same patch of deep yellow rudbeckia.

10 minutes of Solidworks and 34 hours of printing can get you one (1) perfectly customized hanging flowerpot with integrated water reservoir dish. 3D printers: Not just for firearm parts!
A big honkin flowerpot sitting on my 3D printer. It has holes for cord to hang it, and a wide and deep dish integrated into the base for easy watering. It is dark brown on the bottom and cream colored for the top portion.A happy looking Nepenthes St. Gaya, freshly placed into the aforementioned flowerpot, which is now suspended with black paracord. Its pitchers are large and mottled with red and yellow spots.

It's happening, again.
A 9mm barrel rests atop a pile of cropped 3D printed fittings, the result of me trying to account for material expansion. The Uno "draw 25" meme, but it reads "take accurate measurements" or "scoot it over a bit in the model and see if it works now", next to a photo of a pile of failed prints in front of the Uno player, who has a crawdad for a head now.

At least someone's loving this heat wave. Adenium crispum, seed grown from my collection.

Love this feeling
The classic meme of a person lying on a couch talking to their computer. Saying "oh internet im just feeling real low", to which the internet replies with an alert of "New post from Iva 🐛". This causes the figure to sit up and deliver an "Oh shit, for real?"

When you are so anarchist you disregard the domination and hierarchy of the table of contents

A play on the standard "no cops at pride" motto, but changed to read "no cops at anywhere". The text is in an old fashioned western-style font, and the graphic is a group of cowboys with lassos out on a rainbow swirled background.
