Brian @crashbox.net · 26/09/2026You walk into a men's room and see someone doing the 3rd or 4th from the left. What do you do? 100
Brian @crashbox.net · 26/09/2026That sounds a lot like how @lesleyconner.bsky.social lives her life. 020
Brian @crashbox.net · 25/09/2026They seem to be staying away from people's names. Which is good. Imagine how you'd feel if they gave an AI tool your first name. 110

Brian @crashbox.net · 21/09/2026I once had to break up a fistfight when the father of a kid on my kid's soccer team attacked the ref in the parking lot after the match. This was a U10 league. The aggro a-hole father was on crutches btw. Imagine being so angry over youth sports that you'd try to fight someone while on crutches. 040

Brian @crashbox.net · 14/09/2026Well, when you finally get here with that biggby coffee, I'll give you some teaspoons (and a cup of tea). 😀 010
Brian @crashbox.net · 11/09/2026I'm not aware of too many employers who do it and I appreciate your fact that mine does. Can you bring me a fancy coffee please? 😂 110
Brian @crashbox.net · 11/09/2026For the last 4 yrs my company has implemented "summer Fridays" which means everyone gets a half day on Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Today is the first full (8hr) Friday I'm working since May 15th (I had some time off planned too). It's taking a lot not to burn some leave and quit early. 110
Brian @crashbox.net · 11/09/2026DO. IT. And use the time wisely: Go get a fancy coffee and browse your favorite bookstore or go you farmers market. Or day drink. Or go home and convince your husband to take a little break from work in you know what I mean. 😉 010
Brian @crashbox.net · 11/09/2026Can I also say that we're awful people. The people that run this store are just trying to make a living and we're here dreaming up ways to subtly annoy them for absolutely no reason other than that we're trying to distract ourselves from the fact the world is a dumpster fire. 210
Brian @crashbox.net · 11/09/2026And of course in conjunction with that, you need to have as many pair of sunglasses as possible in your purse so that when you go to get your wallet to pay, you just start piling them up on the counter as you work your way to your wallet. 010
Brian @crashbox.net · 11/09/2026Ok so next step is to have more than one pair. One on your head, one in you shirt, etc. 110
Brian @crashbox.net · 11/09/2026One subtle thing you could do is make sure that every time you go in, there are sunglasses visible, just not on your eyes. Up on up of your head, or hanging from the neck of your blouse, or across your throat, or in your hand... 111
Brian @crashbox.net · 11/09/2026You could walk with a limp every third time you go there. Or speak in a different accent every time. Or only walk backwards. Or pay in only nickels. 010
Brian @crashbox.net · 11/09/2026I am here for weird signs at the small local grocery store. Please keep us updated. Also maybe you need to start doing odd things when you go there to figure out what is sign worthy. For example, walk into the store with one arm pulled inside your shirt and stay that way for the entire visit. 110
Brian @crashbox.net · 10/09/2026I didn't have to read Animal Farm in HS, and I decided to read it a couple months ago. Yeah, this is a weird time in history to experience that book for the first time. 110
Brian @crashbox.net · 07/09/2026You're not wrong but I guess no one you them that that's not a good thing. 010
Brian @crashbox.net · 07/09/2026My biggest frustration is how hard they make it to find the link to the businesses website. 110
Brian @crashbox.net · 05/09/2026It's longer than his short term memory after all of those concussions too 000
Brian @crashbox.net · 05/09/2026The more stuff like this I read, the more I think we really are living in the future that Idiocracy predicted. 000
Brian @crashbox.net · 04/09/2026Congrats. What is your best advice for those of us hoping to make it to that milestone? 000
