To the people complaining these sex abuse cases have created a world where men now have to think 10 times before they touch a woman. Yes, that's the point. It's called consent. Welcome to human decency.

The Monarchs have been finding our garden again the past couple of years. There were four in this bush when I took the photo, but I can only make out three.

My basement floor right now. The trench goes from the back where the sewer stack enters to the front of the house where it heads to the main sewer at the street. The “good news” is they didn’t have to dig up the front yard to access the pipe that goes under the foundation. Worst summed ever! 😭

Hey! I have a story in this issue that just came out yesterday!

Craig Taillefer 🇨🇦🐈 @craigtaillefer.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

Turned in my second EC story yesterday. I was trying to channel the grim humour of the original Vault of Horror Grim Fairy Tales, especially by Jack Kamen and George Evans. I often try to "realistic out" my cartoony tendencies as I refine the pencils and ink, but I leaned into it this story.

Asterix. They were being translated and showing up in the local bookstores and I would get them for Christmas and birthdays and started buying them myself. I think I had them all by the time The Great Divide came out when I was in grade 6. I wanted to collect Turok Son Of Stone, but .../

Just do as many pages as you can. You don't have to show anyone the bad ones. Keep going. Just make more. Did you make a lot? Well, make more. You think you made enough? You did not not. Make more.

With my contract with Action Lab finished, I’m excited to get the rights back to Athena Voltaire, the creator-owned series where the majority of my comic work has appeared. It’s 1930s pulp adventure in the spirit of the Rocketeer, Indiana Jones, and the Mummy. www.kickstarter.com/projects/ste...

Show don't tell. First page. I'm trying to do this fast (for me) and put no more than two hours into the inks, and less for the pencils. So far writing and lettering it has been the slowest part. Not quite what I had in mind, but changing how you draw isn't easy!

I'm drawing a short autobio comic, and I'm starting to wonder how close to reality I need to stick. I've been wearing progressives for about 4 years, and as this story covers 10 yrs, the glasses are on and off, then on, then off. The narrator is at the cintiq, and i've worn reading glasses for /🧵

I think we need to celebrate the death of Sora a bit more. This is a technology that, just MONTHS AGO, we were being told was going to literally destroy Hollywood and Disney was going to give them a BILLION DOLLARS and NONE OF THAT EVEN REMOTELY HAPPENED

Which publishers are publishing anthologies? Or commissioning back-ups or short stories? I had a lot of fun doing my EC story, and I'd like to do more, but I am so out of touch with the current comic book market that I have no clue where to look. I'll be in this issue: #comicartist

I turned in a 10 pager (pencils and inks) for EC Cruel Universe yesterday. It was a lot of fun, but holy smokes, I am so much slower inking myself than when inking others. I took my time with the pencils assuming my “ink a page and a bit a day” average would hold out. Nope. I made it, barely! 😅

Am I too permissive with this floofball? It ain’t easy trying to ink while cradleing a fur baby.

I've been paying for the CSP "update Pass" for at least two years and just upgraded from 2.7 to 5 yesterday! I find the upgrade process a little confusing TBH. The "press and hold" at the end of a line to turn it into a smooth line or curve is brilliant! Bye Bye french curves!

I just finished pencilling a WFH 10-pager for a sci-fi anthology. Got to wait for approval, then on to inks. I'm relatively happy with how it's turning out. <choke!> Was kind of panicking trying to get the last page done, saved, and sent before the ice storm gets to the power outage stage!

Trying something new today, tilting my Cintiq flat and trying to draw standing up. I’ve been working as vertical as possible to avoid tech-neck, so maybe not the best position to hold for a long time, but I’m seeing if I can switch positions through the day to avoid issues from staying in one spot.

What sort of life do some of the generative AI advocates live, to believe that efficiency is what artists crave? Creating art isn't a box to be ticked off in minutes. It's the process. A living experience that breathes; joy and rage and everything in between. It's not efficient. It's human.
