iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

*And then bragging about it on social media,* let's not forget that part. Like, sure, he can have the robot help him do the parts of his socializing that he dislikes, but acting like it's some major life hack is pretty funny.

Oh, I thought we were talking about copyright. If you want to argue about every bad anti-AI argument ever made on the internet, I'll pass. Have fun with that, though!

Celebrate 25 years of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin with 25 Stunners

But I researched it* and I now know that they are upset that Bouie wants them to be kicked in the stomach and then have their head slammed into someone's shoulder, causing them to bounce comically into the air and then flop around in the ground like a fish. *My research: youtu.be/l8L08usJueE?...

I don't claim to be macho and I don't watch wrestling, so I did not in fact know what a stone cold stunner was.

Why would you assume people think that? Multiple things can be problems at the same time.

100

Yeah, my understanding is that complaints about skill based matchmaking are largely driven by streamers, because they can't get sick kill streaks all the time if they're playing against good players, lol

Most of them are standalone, although a few have some references to previous games. The only real exception I'm aware of is FE Radiant Dawn for the Wii, which is a direct sequel to FE Path of Radiance on the GameCube.

You should stay off social media entirely

I don't know, ask Toby. I just pointed out that you said something false, but apparently you don't care about the accuracy of your statements, so I don't have any interest in continuing a conversation with you.

Toby never said anything about demands, he specifically said it was something he'd like to see, but it wasn't as important to him as the rest of what he discussed. bsky.app/profile/polp...

Card tables don't need much to be fully functional. On the other hand, if you're into wargaming or TTRPGs, you can find some real degenerate tables there.

I know it's just a typo, but "objection permanence" is a pretty good description of people who refuse to update their complaints about Biden regardless of the evidence!

It's fuckin depressing how evergreen this is as an explanation

Ok, but that guy is like 300% more coherent than the average NYT focus group member.

I hear you and you're right, but also, I have basically lost all confidence in my own ability to tell what is or isn't a joke on social media. People say crazy shit all the time, and some people insist they're joking when they're not, and others are dead serious when they should be joking.

I didn't forget that, because I didn't know that. Helpful info, though.

I can't play it because I'm very bad at shmups. Which is a weird thing to say about a game that looks like a jrpg.

You're complaining about things that have not happened yet and might not happen for any number of reasons. You're allowed to do that, but it doesn't help anybody.

The Democrats do not have a majority in the House and the Senate. The election is in six weeks. The new Congress will be seated in January. Please respect the flow of linear time when you schedule your future posts attacking Democrats. Thank you.

That's helpful, thanks for elaborating.

I don't care if it's divisive, Nuts and Bolts is the best Banjo-Kazooie game.

I don't think I understand the real/not real distinction you're trying to get at here. What's an example of a viral critically acclaimed indie that the public doesn't consider to be real?

Given that we're talking about the category of "things they could be doing that are not their actual job," then yeah, I am not worried about them writing books. I am worried about them doing insider trading, or sharing state secrets, or taking literal bribes, or any number of actual bad things.

000

Sure, it may still be a little bit concerning. But out of all the things they could be doing that also take time away from constituents, writing books is a better use of that time than just about anything else I can think of.

100

Thank you! I was unfamiliar with your other work, so that's helpful.

That's cool, do you have an article about the members of Congress who are getting their money from illegal stock trading? Writing books is probably the least concerning extracurricular that I can think of for a lawmaker.

I love the original version from the game, but check out this alternate version if you haven't, it's cool and trippy. It's from Jonathan Coulton's album Artificial Heart. youtu.be/RSsstXfcRWw?...
