Surprised how dated The Witcher 3 feels to me, even in Remastered form. Movement feels super clunky coming from more modern games.

Finished #Wolverine. Very solid game for me. Baffled by the over-the-top criticism. It's up there with 007 First Light and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy as one of the best action games I've played this year.

I was gutted when I saw the reviews for #Wolverine but there were enough positive ones that I decided not to cancel my pre-order. And I'm glad I didn't. It's great so far. Good story, well-realised characters and the combat is fun. Pretty much exactly what I would want from this sort of game.

So I finished #Resonance, the new Plague Tale game. Wish I'd known it was basically an Uncharted game going in. Ended up enjoying it overall. Not quite as good as the mainline games IMO but a fun action adventure game with a strong story, solid gameplay and superb presentation.

I've played a few hours of 'Resonance', the new Plague Tale game, and as a fan of the series I am pretty disappointed so far. The narrative hook isn't there for me like the earlier games. The game is very combat heavy and the combat is nothing special. I'll keep persisting..

I'm currently replaying the Portal games on Switch 2. Finished 1 yesterday and now I'm half way through 2. I was expecting the first one to feel dated but it completely holds up. And 2 is even more impressive than I remembered. Classics for a reason.

With physical games going away, I will only buy one full-priced game every year or two. Big games like GTA 6. Anything that I might consider a bit of a risk - games like 007 First Light or Pragmata - I simply won't be buying those anymore, especially as #Playstation doesn't do refunds.

This is an absolute disaster for gamers. There is only one place to buy Playstation games - the Playstation Store - so there's no competition whatsoever and you'll pay the price Sony dictates.

The #XboxShowcase has been the best of the summer showings over the past couple of years so I have high expectations for today. Hope we see more Fable.
