A MTG card I painted from the new Final Fantasy set that is slowly being teased. I'm not sure why the character was edited out, maybe another version of the card is coming with her on it? Included are some of my sketches and the hilarious 2d original game ref that this final is based on! #mtg

From the Toei film Hypergalactic. This is one of the maquettes I made from Takao Noguchi's model. I painted the model built the base and electronics with a light below her scooter for extra punch! We used this at first to sell the movie to theaters, and the buyers loved this and the others.

Apainting I worked on from Hypergalactic, the Japanese/ Hollywood collaboration film I worked on a couple years ago as a production designer.

the groups on FB are the real value there. I have saved my own life thanks to health groups there. IDK if Bluesky even supports groups?

Yes! I got the same today, a blocked page just popped up again. We have no control. :(

Facebook has become really frustrating and full of "pages to follow" with less and less actual friends. Now they are removing fact checking moderation. :|. If it gets like twitter I'll have to leave to probably stay here on Bluesky.

So far OpenAI has rebuffed any attempts at this assertion of copyright, they claim it is fair use, and don't care. I have inquired about starting a class action lawsuit about this with the same lawfirm that is handling the large artist case right now against multiple image generators.

There goes our beloved ImagineFX magazine. I never minded ImagineFX publishing the materials I contributed over the years in special themed volumes or sketchbooks because it was of some help to me, but training AI no way. No artist will want to contribute anymore.

haha, Grete and Gregor in the bathroom! That makes me wonder if the Fallout Radroaches had some origin in the Kafka story.

MTG Fallout set card number 2! This concept was super fun, but I think I prefer less staged kinds of cards to paint, though it was still a blast to do!

A Magic The Gathering card I did for the Fallout deck! This deck was great fun to work on even if I only did a couple cards!

I guess it was fun at first, now I often don't even see the movies I work on :P I have an idea of how things should look in my head and am often left wanting. So the final thing is often a reminder of what couldn't be done to me. Nobody else sees that though of course.

A fun Seussian village from the Lorax film. This was another surprise as I thought my designs were not used, but the village colors and shapes ended up a lot like this. I think things were less loopy and crazy, but there is a strong resemblance to my work in the end. Photoshop.

Thanks so much for your kind words and enthusiasm for our work! So many of us loved working on this, and were so sad it did not do well. Nowdays, it is clear that it was a good movie, just failed for other reasons it seems.

Disney's Treasure Planet spaceport design sketch. Pencil on paper. I liked the idea here where there are multiple levels within the port, but the final design is more flat in the end.

A rough line and final tone designs of the Benbow Inn for Disney's Treasure Planet. This was one of my first attempts at the look of the interior before arriving at the final look a few months later. I always like the coziness of this one, with the lower ceiling area bar.
