iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

It was so easy to feel confident, smart, righteous. Do I hate that people I respected went against my values, stopped being kind? Or do I hate that they stopped me from feeling like a good person? I don't know. I suppose the answer doesn't matter. The important bit is, as you said - to keep trying.

Oddly I've had a similar experience. I watched the people I found aspirational for "fighting for science and reason" slowly take arms with the same folk they once fought. Were they only looking for easy marks? A feeling of superiority? Was I looking for those things too? Am I still seeking that?

There's an irony to it, I used to complain about people cherry picking the nice parts from their holy books while ignoring the bad. Now I sometimes find myself wishing they cherry picked the good bits more.

Funnily enough, I was a militant atheist back in your FE days. Used to think anyone believing in a religion was an idiot. Nowadays, I think it matters more what you choose to do with it.

It's the Dark Expedition Gate of Fire Emblem.

Yet I cannot for the life of me see what fans of Rent-a-girlfriend see in the show outside of self-inserting themself onto the MC. I cannot fathom WHY it's so popular when other far better romance anime drown. It's THE show I'm closest to outright calling overrated. I just don't get it.

CraftySam @craftysam.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

I've had to watch perfectly good anime die at season 1 while rent-a-girlfriend gets *6* seasons. You know I hate the term overrated. I find it a vapid critique used by people who only want to hate on something for being popular rather than acknowledge that maybe there's a reason people like it.

CraftySam @craftysam.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

I'm glad it's an option and not mandatory. Some WoL's will absolutely pop off with this and some won't. Mine is neither. I have the marks but they don't really affect the face much since I've got a big ol' tattoo that covers them.

How was warrior princess? I tried it but stopped around episode 3. Parts of it felt... Icky to me, (mostly the lack of acknowledge meant of the MC's complete lack of freedom & choice) does that go away/get better later on?

Three houses fans arguing which Lord (but not their fave ofc) is literally Hitler:

CraftySam @craftysam.bsky.social · 09/06/2026

That's perfectly fair, in my view Three Houses is best when you form your own opinion on it. While I have my own thoughts on it, people get WAY too heated about it in discussions.

I mean, there's darksyde Phil, but I think what sets him apart is the Phil kinda pathetic as an entire existence while Low Tier God, for all his flaws, has a dramatic flair to rival professional improv actors.

Honestly I almost felt this event could have been a proper one and not just an april fools event lol. It's ridiculous and insane but somehow perfectly within the overall vibes of a Granblue Event. Feower being absolutely *mortified* while everyone else was decently chill to accepting was amazing.

Don't forget gbf dancer waifus too. Honestly love you kept the name all these years, It's about as iconic as PheonixMaster1's in a way. A reminder of the days you might run into XxX_N00bD3st0y3r_XxX on the net. I miss those days sometimes.

Like, can you imagine wanting to actually talk to people who share your interests? Why would anyone ever want to do that? Just let the AI do it for you, sharing your passions in your words is for losers.

And it's not local mum and pop workers relying on tips, it's workers in massive multi-million businesses. A tip should be a small bonus, not a requirement.

CraftySam @craftysam.bsky.social · 04/11/2025

As an Aussie, it absolutely baffled me when I first heard about tips. Like, giving a little extra for a good job or because you feel generous I get - but tipping because if you don't the worker straight up doesn't get enough money to live is insane to me.

CraftySam @craftysam.bsky.social · 24/10/2025

Heck, when I was at uni I was valid for job seeker(getting paid as long as I was at uni or searching for a job) I didn't sign up because my family is decently privileged and I didn't NEED the money to survive. ... a lot of the same people that complained about bludgers told me to get jobseeker lol.

CraftySam @craftysam.bsky.social · 24/10/2025

In Australia it can be looked down on. We're in a weird middle spot where if you're struggling people will tell you to get job seeker and stuff like that, but then those same folk will immediately get upset at 'lazy dole bludgers who exploit the system' ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

She has no super saiyan power-up modes. She's just a girl with a bonking stick who decided that she wanted to dedicate their life to helping other people however they could - even though she is painfully aware of her own faults and weaknesses... even if she covers it up with bravado and bluster.

I think what makes it so magic to me is just how grounded the Sky games are compared to nearly the rest of the series. Estelle is kinda the hallmark, She's functionally normal. Sure her dad is a big deal, but Estelle is not. She's not some chosen one, she's not from a special bloodline.

tbf, Calyx knew we were god killers and actually tried to exploit the fact that we're very good at killing gods in particular. A never ending primal that locks us into fighting it until we eventually run out of steam because said primal keeps getting stronger when it dies is actually really clever.

CraftySam @craftysam.bsky.social · 07/09/2025

Very faintly in the background, yes some similar chords are being played. I probably wouldn't have caught it if it weren't for the direct comparison.

Honestly, I could have sworn the image was used in a Lythero video somewhere. However I didn't want to spend hours combing through his videos (as excellent as they are) to find one meme of many. I was very close to seeing if I could ask the man himself directly.

CraftySam @craftysam.bsky.social · 16/08/2025

I found it, took me a little but I got there. Sadly I don't know who did it originally, one reverse image searcher found it on a site that wasn't tumblr, but I'm not paying $50 AUD to see a F***ing url. Also I found another fun one I'm adding as a bonus.

MiHoYo StOlE tHiS! Nah, being serious I've seen this comparison before and I'm not totally sure how I feel about it. It does kinda feel like a 'bro can I copy your homework?' but it could also just be heavily inspired by it because well, Lucilius has that aura.

An image of the character Redd White from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, he's the CEO of Bluecorp and has famously said in his first scene "Red, White, Blue!"
