There was mewing in the bushes near our backyard yesterday and even louder today, so I went out to check on things and two kittens came charging out at me, yelling the entire time. They were easy to catch, though the white one gave me the tiniest little hiss, so I took them in to the Humane Society.

Hey so your post yesterday about the two bags inspired me to look into it and I picked up a surprise bakery bag from my local grocery store tonight. Corn bread, cinnamon rolls, and an ENTIRE CHOCOLATE CAKE.

One of our neighbors was one of the fatalities in Firestorm '91. I was in 6th grade and remember it all clearly and have been on the edge of a panic attack all day watching this unfold.

I tat! My great-grandma taught me. This is the doily I made and entered in our local fair this fall - it's 10 or 11 inches across. It won all the prizes and I came home with the biggest ribbon I've ever seen.

Sleeping me recently removed my ankle compression brace overnight and then put the sock back on that came off with it. I only discovered the second part the next morning when I realized my sock was on inside out.

We took this handsome boy to the emergency vet yesterday because he had one pupil that was tiny and one that was normal. Turns out he just had a scratch on that eye, so the Cone of Shame and some antibiotic eye drops should do the trick.

I also have a (younger than yours) ex-ranch horf who was sold to me because her hooves were too soft for their terrain. She is always full of woe when I won't go take her to go find the cows we can hear in the distance every summer.

I ended up having three locations of baby asparagus come up, two have three stalks and the other has only two. We haven't done anything with them besides provide regular watering, but this definitely gives me hope for future years!

Some plants in an overgrown flower bed - asparagus, rhubarb, roses, and a spent gladiolus.
