Little Citizens, Big Ideas: Celebrating Kids, Community & Democracy · Desert Democracy
We invite you and your child(ren) or grandchildren to join us for an entertaining introduction to politics and voting as we gather to read “The Night Before Election Day”.
All children will receive their own copy of the book to take home!
Following story time, we will provide supplies for each child to make a patriotic bookmark to accompany their new book.
Finally, our young citizens can practice their new voting skills as they cast a ballot on an issue of national importance!
Registration is required by October 5th to be certain we will have enough supplies for all. If you register after that date we’ll contact you by email to confirm we have a book for your child to take home.
This book is geared towards 3-7 year olds. However, if you have an older child who you’d like to attend, we will do our best to provide a more age-appropriate selection.
(After you sign up we will contact you by email to confirm the number of children you will be bringing and other pertinent info needed for attendees at this event.)
Desert Democracy stands firmly in alignment with Indivisible’s commitment to non-violence as a foundational principle of civic engagement and community organizing. We believe that meaningful change is built through peaceful action, respectful dialogue, and collective resilience.
