CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Um, excuse me, I had Flying Toasters on my PC just last month!!! 160
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 21/09/2026In December 2024, I built a set of Mini PCs for a client. Each PC had 32GB DDR5-5600, which cost $70.99 for each PC. That same kit of memory is $459.99 today. 5211
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 09/09/2026New homelab video is live on the channel. Get them before they're gone. youtu.be/1fAzf3H3xAc 3141
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Finally got 'hold of those new fangled Steam Machines everyone's talking about. Review coming soon. 10270
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I thought I was pretty clear on the matter 7242
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Update: I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Title, game settings, and graph colors are fully customizable. The graph autoscales to whatever FPS metrics you provide, and also scales vertically depending on how many GPUs you want to show. What do y'all think? 380
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Spent the day building tools to speed up my work, and improve videos at the same time. Behold! BAR GRAPHS! 1160
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Yes, I swapped out the FUMA for an AIO. The air cooler interfeared with the top PCIe slot, which is the only x16 in here. But I made up for it by buying another kit of Dominator Platinum to fill out the board !!! 2200
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 19/08/2026My extraordinary use of freewill today... Did you know you can just BUY 2lb bags of pastel mints? 5111
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Comcast enabling AI security features in their routers, like Family activity monitoring, smart malware detection.. CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 15/08/2026You all wanted to see and SLI setup on the X99 rig, right? Am I doing this right? 0291
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 14/08/2026I was lucky enough to see the total eclipse from home. But I totally understand why people chase them. Next one is August 2027 in Spain 😉 010
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 14/08/2026I've seen a couple partial eclipses. They're neat, but absolutely nothing like totality. Complete darkness, and then a perfect halo of light. I get why people travel around the world just to see one. 130
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 13/08/2026It's alive! ALLLIIIIIIVVVEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA 2220
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Building an X99 rig like its 2016. Seriously... NIB EVGA X99 FTW-K!!!!! 6180
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Had this interaction yesterday. While I do enjoy trying different beers, and sharing my passions on the channel, I'm also fully aware of the difficulty and unhealthy relationship many people have with alcohol. 1271
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 11/08/2026I really appreciate Walmart looking out for my money, and helping me get the best value in wiper blades. Wouldn't want to pay too much money per inch of blade now, would I? 2140
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 27/07/2026Not my vibe, but Enhyphen absolutely puts on a great show. 070
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 22/07/2026Clouds are cool and all, but have you tried massive rock formations on the beach at sunset? 060
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 10/07/2026Extraordinary use of free will, as always 1263
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 03/07/2026Google: Why does everyone hate Gemini? Me: Maybe because you've placed 17 different buttons in every service I use, and even when fully disabling it through my paid-for Google Workspace, it's still in every single window I open, and still urges me to push all my data through it..... 3263
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 15/06/2026To every EV Car Charger that's ever been deployed. Just allow me to pay. Charging station, in an area with no cell service, requires QR Scan and a webpage to pay and enable charging, even when there's a card reader right freaking there. 11504
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 10/06/2026"In defense of the RX 9070 GRE" Video coming tomorrow. 1120
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 03/06/2026I don't know if I could have possibly picked a better time to go full EV. 2024 Kia EV9 Wind 2017 Chevy Bolt Premier 1650 miles driven last month for a grand total of $39.59 in 'fuel'. That's 8 gallons of gas, good for ~240 miles if you get 30mpg. 3220
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 02/06/2026My favorite neighborhood colo... "Jeff, re doing doing something with the DGX V100 server?" Me: "Maybe, why?" @ychto.bsky.social: "Oh, no reason..." 4150
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 22/05/2026What a morning. Had three teens try to prank my house at 2am by pounding in my door. My back is still messed up. UniFi update has been stuck for 20+ minutes. And as a result, I got a whopping 2h54 minutes of sleep. I may be a bit grumpy today. 8181
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 13/05/2026Portland Fire knock off the Liberty! Heck yeah!!!!! Congrats on the first win! 081
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 09/05/2026Don't worry, my game addictions are dangerous for me too. Literally playing Dinkum right now. 130
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 08/05/2026Seriously YouTube/Google? 17 different places for Gemini aren't enough (and I've turned them all off in Drive, Gmail, etc), but now you've just shoved an LLM into YouTube Studio??? For what POSSIBLE reason? I wrote the damn video. I can read comments. I can view performance. Just more AI slop. 5171
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 07/05/2026Last year I sent one of my servers to a COLO, but have only been accessing it through a jumpbox VM. Not anymore. I just connected my 8x Nvidia V100 server to my home server rack over 100mi away. In ~20 minutes, Twingate had both networks talking, no firewall shenanigans required. #ad #sponsored 281

CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 17/04/2026For AI workloads, the R9700 vs B70 will come down to software support for your use case. For SR-IOV and bifurcation, AMD doesn't offer that feature. It's only available for their Mi-series Datacenter GPUs. One exception is the Pro V710, which I have literally never seen in the wild. 110
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 17/04/2026Can the Intel B70 Pro work as a cloud gaming server? You already knew I'm going to try! 2221
CraftComputing @craftcomputing.bsky.social · 16/04/2026Let's confuse the hell out of the Steam Hardware Survey, shall we? CPU: Epyc Turin 9965 192-Core with 48-Cores / 48-Threads Memory: 64GB GPU: Nvidia Tesla P4, configured as a P40-8Q I love virtualization. 3301
