this was saved after finishing the mlp fanfic Pandemic, it has a pegasus tf sequence that lasts ~45 chapters and it had an insane hold on me for a week post-read. i think without that element it's like a 6.5/10 fic though

btw the deltarune SURVEY_PROGRAM executable timestamp is December 5th, 2009. this is pretty clearly set intentionally and related to gaster bs given the executable version (not in screenshot) is 0.6.6.6 but i've never seen anyone talk about it

it took multiple days to setup a QSortFilterProxyModel on heavily customized QTreeView/QTreeModel subclasses without hitting seemingly random segfaults with no backtrace compiling in debug. there were several requirements, some the docs mentioned outright and some buried, all of them time consuming

i've been working on parsing the file groups in the ps3 build of the orange box and found a couple things exclusive to the copy of portal on it - Windows server.dll build from 2 months before the game released on PC - this dark and griddy background art

experimenting with transparent windows for some VTF tooling im working on the text in the dialog box and the pony.town sprites are both placeholder, pending functionality and commissioning an artist respectively

Pick was originally implemented as the Generalized Information Retrieval Language System (GIRLS) on an IBM System/360 in 1965 by Don Nelson and Dick Pick at TRW, whose government contract for the Cheyenne Helicopter project required developing a database. It was supposed to be used by the U.S. Army to control the inventory of Cheyenne helicopter parts.
