Here in Michigan, we've what's called a "Felony Murder". Defendant doesn't even have to be present at time of murder to be found guilty. Mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole. If the defendant was part of any crime where someone died, whether def guilty or not, they're auto-charged.

Unless you truncate - still traceable / trackable but a hell of a lot more difficult to do so. At the very least, you can set up a repeater with an unexpected offeset/PL. Add to that the fact that it's more reliable than a corporate owned communication service. "You can't stop the signal, Mal."
