Hello everyone, we apologize for the long wait on the geometry breakers demo update, as we've also been working with @lagartimations.bsky.social on developing an 2d indie-animated short called "The Lizard and the Crab", which will be animated using Blockbench and GDevelop 5. #lizard #crab #animation

So another big update that we'll be making to Geometry Breakers, is the way the dashing mechanic for the ships work. Instead of simply holding a key to make the ship move faster, there will be a booster gauge to limit the dash ability for challenge. #crabteam #lagartimations #videogames #indiegames

Hey guys! We're currently working on the new update for the Geometry Breakers Demo, which will feature improved enemy and shape movements, dynamic lighting on sprites, as well as smoother animations. #crabteam #lagartimations #indiegames #videogames #gamedev

The triangle energy prisms seen in the first level of Invictus will now move at different angles towards the bottom of the screen. The further you get, the faster they travel.

If you look at Spike's ship, you can see that the lighting on it has changed due to him being closer to the blue glow of the core of Invictus.

So here's some concept art of the main character of the Geometry Breakers Demo, Captain Spike. We ended up combining the designs that @andrawprods.bsky.social and our concept artist Nesquicksilver created, which resulted in the design being used in the demo. #conceptart #indiegames #sage2025

Nesquicksilver's original design is at the top-left, while Andraw's designs are at the top-right.

Hello people! Before the demo becomes public in the coming weeks, we'd like to finally share some screenshots of the Geometry Breakers 2025 Demo. The game will feature shields that can be bought, toggleable powerups, and more! #sage2025 #indiegames #gamedemo #gamedev #shootemup

Enemies and obstacles are based on different shapes for each world.

A progress meter is on the side to show you how far into the level you are. Powerups appear halfway through the level.

Shields currently cost 1,000 spare star energy points, and can take five hits before they're destroyed.
