One of the biggest things I've noticed about the Cornell case is that it has brought out the most performative people of all time. It's upsetting enough that there's even a discussion about this when there's only one correct answer (rapists are 100% always at fault and should be in prison).

I really hope the Bmore Bus program really helps with frequencies because I'm tired of it taking an hour to get into Baltimore (mostly waiting for the bus) instead of 15 minutes driving. People are gonna be more willing to take transit if the bus is there when they need it. Frequency is vital.

It's not even been a full day... Price increase so vile that it's genuinely hurt Valve's reputation and the top model STILL goes out of stock in LESS THAN A DAY after having been out of stock for 5 MONTHS. At this point I wouldn't be shocked if Valve discontinues the steam deck entirely.

If the MTA ever gets more funding, increased frequency would be really useful. 5 minutes at best and 15 minutes at worst. More people would see the light rail as a viable option if they didn't have to wait 20-25 minutes for a train sometimes. Also signal priority at the very least on Howard Street.

I will say I'm almost done with Skinamarink and while I like the overall vibe of the film, I think more can have been done with it even with the $15,000 budget. It felt very light compared to other analog horrors. I didn't dislike it but overall more could've been done to drive the film.

(1/2) More people need to know about @redlinemaryland.bsky.social. It got like 12 seconds of attention after it was reactivated in 2023 and 4 more seconds after it was announced to be light rail in 2024. This would be great for east-west Baltimore but almost no one remembers or knows about it.

This is my message to the team. God knows whether or not they feel untouchable enough to just ignore all the feedback (cough YouTube cough) and implement this anyway even if the vast majority of the userbase sends feedback like this but there's no harm in trying.

Not only does this not protect children at all, this invades people's privacy and requires them to dox themselves in order to use your platform fully which they could do beforehand without the risk of having their sensitive information leaked in a breach. This is a serious breach of trust for your platform and many people would stop using your platform if you implemented this.

If you actually wish to protect users under 18, enforce stronger (human operated) moderation across the platform. Do not require users to dox themselves as that will lead to mass identity theft in the case of any data breach. You have the opportunity to maintain a strong userbase, make the choice that will keep you popular, not the one that will turn millions of people away.

Reminder that Discord had a massive data breach compromising 70,000 people's sensitive information right after they did this in the UK
