I think there’s logic behind the discrepancy around network loss etc, but yes, it does feel out of line. I’d get batteries to store the excess but again the cost outweigh the benefit. We just stick the washing machine and dish washer etc on when it’s sunny out. 😁

You actually do get a decent output even with UK weather. We’ve got solar on our roof and for a good percentage of the year you do see a massive decrease in import.

If we had the original feed in tariff rates back, they’d all have them. Export rates are too low to justify the investment, takes too long to pay for itself plus additional upkeep vs no roof.
