When the current Chosen One is found murdered on Dahlia’s doorstep, the two friends must work together to prove Dahlia’s innocence before her life is forfeit to offset the balance that has tipped beyond what anyone has seen before, leaving the futures of all eight worlds in jeopardy. To save the worlds, rules must be broken, time will be upended, secrets will demand to be revealed, and friendships must be sacrificed.

The newest Chosen One selected by Kismet, Inc was found dead this morning on the doorstep of Departed Corps heir, Dahlia Halloway. Sources say that the human was not due to perish for another three centuries if she had fulfilled her duties as the Chosen One, and that her unscheduled death has lead to a wayward balance. Roads around our small town have been rupturing, fracturing homes and completely destroying Eden Park’s historic gazebo. Thankfully, Selena and her talented group of sirens were able to make it out of the gazebo in time before its collapse. Despite these unprecedented times, zero other injuries have been reported. Clockwork Falls’ clock tower has fallen. Never in the known history of humanity has time been disrupted to this extent.$

When she discovers the current threats tie back to the death she faked five years ago, she must expose the person responsible for the ghosts who haunt her past and the current murder of a castle servant before death finally comes back to claim her for real…or she ends up married to a prince. She can’t decide which is worse.
