Back in 2013 I played with this idea and it became the tesselation-free displacement mapping feature of the Brazil r/s commercial renderer. Super fun to play with indeed 🤩 I ended up using triangular prisms with bilinear sides as the shell structure to have consistent surface projection.

This evening we've had supernumerary rainbows in the Bay Area. Supernumerary rainbows are so cool because they are generated not only by dispersion (prism) like normal rainbows but also by interference (soap bubble) on top of that. If you look closely, you'll see more colors after violet.🌈

Today I used this combined test for Covid-19, Flu A and Flu B. There are 4 bars, C, A, B and T. A: Flu A + B: Flu B + C:... No, not Covid +. This is Control (valid)! T: Covid + (aka Test, as if A and B are not) I know the control/test jargon, but still you have 3 tests here, why is one T? Geez!

Fun with blue laser pointer and common household items. Olive oil fluoresces red(ish) Vitamin B tablet dissolved in water strongly fluoresces green. Apperently olive oil fluorescense color depends on the grade. Now I must measure the spectrum to verify that it's extra virgin oil indeed. 🤓🤪
