I just watched my orange dog go nose to nose with my orange cat and just kind of… squish him backwards… until he could get past him. They are obviously sharing one brain cell.

Introduced in 1979… and music was never the same. You heard it everywhere in the 80s, you just didn’t know it.

Nah, not The Verge’s story on that GamersNexus LG video being thoroughly corrected by their actual A/V expert… No paywall: archive.is/KYA9w Tl;dr: every smart TV collects data, but they don’t illegally spy on your conversations unless someone hacks it, and if offline it really is offline.

What the hell are they doing to dogs at the FBI?

In a further exchange, Patel explained to Senator John Kennedy, the Louisiana Republican, that previously, regulations had barred anyone who engaged in bestialityồẠạion either side of it."
"Either side of what, the bestiality?" asked Kennedy. "So you disqualified the animal?"
"We have great canines, but we're not going to disqualify them," said Patel.

That LG TV spying thing is blowing up now that The Verge published an article, which I’m not going to link to because it’s probably going to get them a C&D over the headline alone. But here is my analysis of the GamersNexus video, as someone who has done infosec R&D for 20+ years:

Anyone gonna tell him the wheels should be turning clockwise if the bicycle is going forward? Given the frame rate and the speed of rotation, there would be no optical illusion make them appear to be turning counterclockwise. It’s just slop.

I have spent TWO DAYS trying to sync a local copy of the Oracle Linux repos for my job. 3rd worst thing: how slow it is going for inexplicable reasons. We are supposed to have *well* over 10 Gb/sec 2nd worst thing: that stupid getPackage path breaks the repodata. Worst thing: it is Oracle Linux.

This is why you should keep your cats inside. Alternatively, you could increase the number of cats you have to three and add a dog. Look at him, he wants bellyrubs!

I am angered as much by false or exaggerated stories (and by the people who blindly feed the outrage machine with their replies) as I am at truly bad things. The fake shit distracts and desensitizes people, so this list will blockenheimer those who post it and all who reply to those posts.
