This is Dickens as a horrified correspondant, rather than a social reformer or noveltist. There was no narrative to tell about the opposition of good and evil. What he saw that day was unremittingly evil and he did not disguise his abhorence.

Thoughtful of them to give you 12 years to compile your bucket list of shite you 'must' consume before you expire

You enable "vested interests that oppose the switch to clean power" by exaggerating the costs of the transition, whilst ignoring the greater costs of maintaining the status quo. It is you who "insults the intelligence of voters", by promoting an irrational culture war instead of heeding the science

The consummate consumption of pastries is entirely commendible, irrespective of circumstances. Blow wind, come wrack, at least we will die with huff paste on our back.

Surely the story here is not so much the lack of inellectual rigour or professional integrity amongst pollsters, but the fact that, thanks to an incompetent and corrupt media, a "modest investment of £30k" can misinform and undermine a democratic nation.

I am tempted to pose your question to AI, but I doubt that, even with the worst exigencies of human history included in its training , AI will be able to match the self-destructive power of MAGA dogma.

That's all highly commendible Mr Mayor, but there are as many law beakers in the boardrooms as there are hoodlums on the streets and what are you doing about that?

Rewild suburban gardens and repurpose patios for flood defenses. It's a win - win and a sure fire vote winner! That's that problem sorted - now for glacier collapse...er, leave that one with me for a while...

I don't doubt your figures, but if London invested say £10 billion p.a. on building resilience between now and 2050, what would the annual cost of climate change be after those improvements?

Respondants might be forgiven their ignorance of 17C merchant adventurers or 19C despots. But they were remiss in not looking up the protaganists before offering their opinions on your joke. Are those failings attributable to the BBC, or the human preference for pontification over information?

Unless you have supressed the default settings, every time you switch on your phone or open your laptop, your actions and searches are influenced by AI. Therefore, the question should be not IF AI has been used, but which AI has been used and for what purpose? But don't expect an informed response

No, but you would do well to 'read between the lines'. Thanks to the unequal distribution of wealth and corrupt media, we do not live in an open democracy. Therefore, any aspiring politician must exercise a little discretion and occassional subtefuge.

Instead of praising the best prospect they have, Labour are queing up to bury his credibility. The country needs somebody who will say what is necessary to be elected and then seize power from the 1% to restore democracy. Party members wearing their cynicism on their sleeves do not help the cause.

In 1803 Blake wrote "To..Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand". 150 years later humanity had almost made the poetry real. 100 years later we find that ingenious humans created a physical reality from a poetic concept, only for ignorant humans to abuse that power to crush poetry and everything else

Will more detail be helpful? Sadly not. People don't understand corruption through details, they understand it by recognising that people 'on the take' are self interested arseholes. Details do not create outrage, exposing corrupt and sociopathic personalities does (unless you live in USA).

What is a median voter? One whose views on a particular subject are midway between extreme pro and extreme anti? Or one whose general outlook is midway between extreme right and extreme left? In either case, the median may be remote from the mean and your opinion has no basis.

Post WWII, politicians and lawmakers realized that any democracy is open to abuse unless its citizens are protected by Human Rights and Civil Rights. Unfortunatley, that lesson has been lost in the mists of time, the fog of social media and the miasma of Neoliberalsim

It's crazy that anyone could think that a poorly formulated survey should provide an adequate basis for public debate. Once again, a MoreinCommon survey leaves us with more questions than answers. And yet again, there are far too many people rushing to judgement instead of pausing for thought

It's troubling that folk struggle with the graphic. There are better ways to convey data, but they all require some effort to understand. If folk cannot get their heads around a simple data set, how can they understand climate data? We are a profoundly uneducated uninformed and unprepared society.¡
