Surprisingly enjoyed this one quite a bit! Or at least about as much as some of the other “corny-but-fun” entries in the series so far. Honestly kind of enjoyed the group of dumb teenagers. They were ...

Wait a minute, that was mostly just Bela Lugosi aura farming!  Honestly classic and iconic as hell though. Pretty slow, but a great spooky time if you got the patience for it.

Watched with friends on a whim. This shit still rips. Ben deserved better.

I’ve got to admit. I was just a BIT disappointed with this one. I was kind of expecting this to be better the original, but I don’t think that’s quite the case here. I think it just follows the 1922 a...

Watching this after reading the Dracula novel for the first time. Well I’ve technically have 5 chapters to go, but close enough. This film really only (indirectly) adapts the first third or so of the ...

There’s a lot of the standard Tim Burton tropes in here, but thankfully this is well before he got a bit too high off his own farts. Not a perfect film, and there’s some iffy stuff to be sure (looking...

So I think anyone that knows me knows my politics at this point. That being said, I’m not opposed to watching a film that has a bit more of a right leaning ideology, and can even enjoy them and find s...

“I was born when she kissed me. I died when she left me. I lived a few weeks while she loved me.” I literally picked this film up because I saw that quote in an Instagram post, not knowing much of wha...

Should preface by saying this is for the black-and-white director’s cut, which from all accounts is much better than the original theatrical version. I wasn’t expecting much going into this film, espe...

I was expecting this film to be mostly carried by the Robert Pattinson performance, which was incredible. But I was kind of blown away at how great the overall film was. The visuals and cinematography...

So it took me way too long to get to this game, but better late than never, I suppose. Just such a great entry in the series. I love the ways it almost echoes Ocarina of Time through its progression, ...

My friend Nate was over and he told me he’d never seen this one, so obviously we had to give it a watch. I dunno what else I can say that hasn’t been said, it’s just the ultimate absurdist comedy. Giv...

Fuckin’ biblical! I’m very biased because I was fortunate enough to see them at the Rose Bowl, but this documentary is both so entertaining and heartwarming. Especially love how it all comes back to r...

The final BBS film, and the company’s legacy concludes with yet another slow burn character study starring Jack Nicholson. Once again, there’s not much plot to be had, instead we get to see the frayed...

Watched this with the boys. Such a fun time and enjoyed every twist and turn! Carey Grant is toxic as hell, but I’ll let it slide because he’s still so damn charming.

I watched this one because the Cine-Files podcast did a One Take on it, and yeah this one just didn’t do it for me. I knew this film had some VERY not politically correct things in it and I was prepar...

This was the one BBS film I had seen beforehand, and as I kinda of expected, this one holds up. A bit too much. Not to get into specifics, but due to recent events both in my own personal life and in ...

The other often forgotten BBS film, and yeah…honestly this one’s pretty bad. I can appreciate the ATTEMPT I suppose, telling a woman’s story through vignettes rather than a traditional narrative. Howe...

Well I certainly saw way more dick in this movie than I was expecting. So I’m continuing my journey through the films of BBS. While this film certainly contains some of the countercultural themes foun...

Yeah, this is without a doubt a complicated film to discuss, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t. The Searchers is a sort of deconstruction of the American western, taking many of the tropes of the gen...

Well add this to the list of good films about guys that suck. Jack Nicholson does a lot of leg work to make such an insufferable guy magnetic enough to follow. Brenda Black is great in her role as wel...

So as far as Scorsese’s career goes, I can see why this is a step forward. However, it was creatively a step back for me. So Marty got to work with Roger Corman’s production company on this, which is ...

Finally got around to watching the Criterion 4K edition. Still hard to believe they gave David Lynch this job off the back off Eraserhead, but even so I can see the DNA the two films share. Regardless...

Watched this with friends over Discord. Yeah, this is not gonna appeal to you AT ALL if you’re not a Pokémon fan. Don’t think it was very necessary to do a 3D remake of the original, but it was still ...

I got the urge to rewatch after listening to the latest Lynch Pins podcast episode, and it got even better on a second viewing. I dunno know how I didn’t clock it before, but there’s DEFINITELY a lot ...

I oughta watch more John Sayles films. Between this and Matewan, he seems like a real one. Definitely can tell this was influenced by Do the Right Thing from a couple years before, but is still its ow...

It was my first time watching this one in over 20 years probably and *sniffs* it was pretty good, I guess. I reckon it was worth the revisit… *wiping away tears*

Such a frustrating film. In theory, this should be awesome. Disney doing a more mature, dark fantasy story sounds like an amazing idea. The animation is also gorgeous without a doubt. Unfortunately, t...

Absolute cinema. I find it funny that I could never get my family to sit down and watch most other superhero films, but they will gladly sit down for the original Spider-Man films.

A film that truly captures a counterculture, and just as it was about to crash and burn due to a lot of factors. People love to glamorize the hippie movement because they think of “peace and love” and...

Rewatched with family. Norman Osborn confronting his actions as the Goblin is pretty much me recalling my actions after a night on a bender.
