Dude the abridged series is some of my favorite content ever made; they point out the ridiculous intricacies being pointed out are hilarious and make more sense than a lot of the normal plot Being said, growing up the show was a massive part of my childhood, I remember waking at 5am each week

I am still baffled why a massive number of websites don't offer dark mode options; maybe I am blinded by the migraine inducing white background in options menus and I am missing seeing them BLEGHHHHHHH is the emotion I wish to express

Geez do we consider soul caliber 2 to be retro at this point? That’s the one I’d go with if so

Housemate is paying me to cook for her (including ingredients) and I get to split leftovers; and now I stay in the kitchen for an hour, hell yeah

Cooking is a really interesting hobby of mine where I’ve been cooking for friends for years, and majority of people I have cooked for have told me to consider becoming a chef professionally or told me to audition for Master Chef hahahaha

So for work, one of my bosses tried cooking I made (Asian who has a very high spice tolerance) and she enjoyed it so she challenged me to make a spicy chili for her and so I did My house mate, who also loves very spicy food tried it and she is going to pay me to make her a massive batch hahaha

Basically you cook the aromatics, peppercorns and chilis to start, then let it steep in the broth for a bit; cook veggies on the side, and then boil aggressively and drop the meat in for a few seconds Biggest help was having the meat be frozen ahead of time so it was easier to cut thin as possible

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

First Sichuan dish I learned to make; boiled beef. It’s very thinly sliced beef with whatever veggies you have (onion celery for me), but the broth is the magic: Soy, sesame, beef broth, cilantro stem, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and chili oil from scratch with sichuan peppercorns

I’ve called people out in community discords (when they were wrong) for attempting to shame me in some way during performances, and it goes as you expect. I think some people just don’t fundamentally understand what being human is. Also, you are f-ing awesome, and you are a great performer

Easy; Ori and the Blind Forest Randomizer Goated randomizer, I would suggest not playing it unless you have hundreds of hours to burn into it; it is that good

I played Silksong mostly blind; This is my act 2 final boss fight that was my 2nd attempt, it absolutely made me pumped/focused/fired-up and so I wanted to share: www.twitch.tv/videos/28333... I had never seen this fight until today, but was so in the zone that I owned it #BeastCrestBest

Ooooo I hope you have fun; definitely subnautica is up there with one of my favorite blind playthroughs. It is very well done

000

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

The ginger should cover a bit of what you’d lose from omitting the cilantro; you could also do something interesting like adding parsley if you want that floral note or add more acid/sweetness via adding more lime; but yeah the peppers are the star for sure.

110

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

For me the overall blend was a small amount of tomato, red bell, tai chilis, poblano, jalapeño, lime, ginger, garlic, some cumin powder, vegetable oil (very slight), salt, cilantro (coriander)

100

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

Climate was cilantro, but phone auto corrected lmao

100

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

So honestly a quick google search gets you some good option; the core is whatever peppers you enjoy, some lime, climate, and a tiny bit of oil I added garlic and a bit of ginger that I cooked prior and then blended everything coarsely together, cooked for a bit more for uniform flavor

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

So cooking has been a hobby for me for many years, tonight I did quesadillas with an Asian fusion take; homemade mayo, soy based reduction with chili oil, homemade salsa and a sharp cheese blend 👌 I’ve tried making tortillas but never been successful with them yet

It definitely feels a bit surreal having a computer again, streams will definitely be occurring more after I redo a lot of my assets; today I am just sitting with GIMP and OBS making overlays and troubleshooting No idea why but OBS can’t locate my webcam 😂

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

I’m back; stream in ~ 30 mins or so where I’ll be doing first time setup stuff, programming some livesplit stuff and happy to chat and answer any questions people might have because this year has been absolutely ridiculous Twitch.tv/Covert_Muffin

I literally didn’t know Elden Ring was in this marathon; I’ll check these out thanks

Chronos did an amazing job running the Tetris tournament from what I heard; I’ll definitely check all of these, thanks

Spooty is goated in necro; so no surprise there. I’ll check out the others, thanks so much

Bioshock inf is a good speedgame; I’ll definitely watch it

000

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

Alright it’s time for my ritual; what SGDQ runs were good watches? Can be biased or like an obvious title like silksong etc I couched Constance by 8bit (must watch), system shock by Bloodthunder, and Dark Forces 2 by Alnak; all great runners and performers, I am looking for other standouts

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

Never thought I’d say this, but potential stream tomorrow where I’ll be setting up my new laptop; it’d be an open AMA of the ridiculous year I’ve had and a peak behind the curtain of setting up a stream and speedrun based computer

This is actually incredibly helpful, thank you so much

000

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

After digging this is the mouse I went with; I will probably buy a custom finger tip mouse in the future but Logitech has done me a solid over the years and the only mouse I didn’t like is the most recent one I had used; still it lasted me over 4 years sooooo Logitech mice might be GOATed IMO

010

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

Also mouse suggestions; I use a fingertip grip which is rare, so curved sides are a pain, so if something has flat sides that are orthogonal/perpendicular to the mouse pad that is ideal And fewer or no side mouse buttons as well; I am literally looking for a basic mouse that can keep up with 3k DPI

110

CovertMuffin @covertmuffin.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

I am looking to purchase a gaming laptop by the end of the month; suggestions? I’m looking for something under $3k but will let me play games like Elden Ring and stream older games Optic seems like the best long term but Lenovo and other companies are cropping up, so I’m curious what is best?

Reality check for yall wanting someone to be blamed/fired: I've volunteered behind the scenes, and the biggest strength I've come to appreciate in the GDQ communities is an environment that treats mistakes as human rather than shaming those who make them. It's why we get to enjoy the events we do.
