The glory of booting up an emulator you've never used & have to figure out what is causing it (I figured it out). Also- I own Valkyrie Profile on PSP just wanted to not dig all of that out of storage. I still regret selling my PS1 version though.

Cleared Sonic 2, still a fantastic game and the remaster on Origins helps with things like widescreen & smoother special stages. LOVE the game. On to Sonic 3 & he who does not chuckle! . . . Wait all he DOES is chuckle in that game AND Sonic Triple Trouble!

Yeah, yet again I play through Sonic CD and I dislike it even more. I respect a lot of what it does, special stages are cool, time travel is a cool idea, the FMVs are SLICK. Level design? Many mechanics? Are just not good & are refined so much more in Sonic 2.

I'm going through Sonic Origins, had fun with Sonic 1 in mirror mode. Really made the game feel new. Really messed with my brain. And I'm totally jumping off Origins when I get to Sonic 3 so I can play the better version done by fans.

Arrow Head nerfed the grenade launcher because 'the community said it was too strong'. Who said that? Who? Did they even test that claim? Warstrider takes 1 of your 6 rockets to kill it. It takes an entire grenade launcher magazine to kill one. And that's 1/3 mags. The math, does not add up to OP

I want to love Scott Pilgrim's game but I really hate the leveling system. It really ruins it for me. I prefer ones without RPG mechanics to begin with but- fight your way to a store every time? Drove me nuts. Also the last time my friends got me to give it another chance? This happened

Rank 10 AT Rei Dau captured n' beaten. I'd love to do a kill but the fight gets so dicey where one mistake means you're ash that it's not worth if ya got 2 carts left. DAMN fun, loved it & can't wait to fight the rest. Except Nu Udra, that one is a bit hard to predict.

The bug defense missions in Helldivers 2 are so easy that I sat there playing Sonic Mania, only pausing to throw out more turrets and mines. Meanwhile the bots would actually get enemies into the base. And no- friends weren't really shooting much either. Just my one friend with the 'gamer chair'.

Deep Dungeon / Midnight's Deep is just as 'fun' as I remember it. It's not that it's hard, because even on Tactician it's not bad if you know what you're doing it's all the item finding & having to find the exit. Also the music sucks & ya can't bloody see anything!

Arch Tempered Uth duna is actually a lot of fun to fight. Hard enough ya really want to learn what it's attacks are, use items to mess with it. Getting decent at perfect dodging some of his attacks too. You can even flash the thing out of it's big Free Willy jump n' dog pile 'em.

Arch Tempered Uth Duna was probably the second real hard fight in the game. Hoping to see more of this. AT Mizu was a hell of a thing too. In Rise he was on the floor KO'd more than fighting so this is a huge glow up.
