![The soft-glow electro-pop number "You Are in Love" describes the giddy feeling of finally finding an ideal partner - the kind of person who will wake up in the middle of the night just to tell you that you're his best friend.
Swift wrote it as an aspirational song, as she admitted she hadn't yet found that kind of ease in a relationship. Instead, the lyrics are based on what her friend, the actress/ director Lena Dunham, said about her then partner - who happened to be Swift's collaborator, Jack Antonoff. "[It's] basically stuff she's told me," Swift said. "And I think that that kind of relationship - God, it sounds like it would just be so beautiful - would also be hard. It would also be mundane at times."35 Indeed, the lyrics mention the simple things that make a relationship special, like having burned toast on a Sunday morning, borrowing your partner's shirt, and keeping a photo of your beloved at work. But these aren't taken for granted; instead, they're gems to treasure.
